Review summary
I am a frequent cruiser and have to say this was the most disappointing cruise yet. The ship itself is dated. It seemed half the staff weren in to their jobs while the others were so unhappy they’d avoid eye contact. We had a bartender tell us she didn’t know how to make a cosmo martini and then when we told her the three ingredients, she claimed that wasn’t included in our beverage package- which wasn’t true. We walked away empty handed. Sommeliers were also working as bartenders? I’d never seen that. Most time there was a single bartender at a time working an entire bar. Countless liquors were “unavailable at this time” or “we’re outta that”. The whole ship seemed understaffed. What bar staff was around the pool barely made rounds to customers and instead stayed under the shade and talked. The food was hit and miss at the buffet and in the main dining room- however, our table staff every night did an outstanding job! Our room was pretty dirty on arrival- I used a soapy washcloth to wipe things down (which was a first!) and even found hair around the sink and on the floor. There must’ve been a celebration prior to us, because we found flecks of glitter all over the place. Odd. We hadn’t been on Celebrity in over ten years and were suprised at how much it had changed and certainly not for the better :(. We’ll gladly return as Princess Cruise Line customers next time. PROS+ - Medium sized ship, not crowded CONS- - Old ship - Understaffed - Boring, not much to doEmbarkation
