Overall it was a great experience but was spoiled by cabin problems for the first week of the cruise.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Quite good as priority is given to disabled persons
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
The service was good but the food was not to my taste, this was due to a boring repetitive menu and not down to the cooking although my partner was served chicken that wasn't properly cooked and raw in the middle at the buffet restaurant, when reported they didn't seem to be that bothered though were for obvious reasons.
Trellis Restaurant
5 out of 5
The waiters are very attentive and eager to please, they work very hard
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
A bit boring on sea days
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The ships performance were great as was the ships musicians. One guest performer was particularly brilliant and enjoyable, her name is Jane Curry . Overall I would say the entertainment was the best I've seen on any of the thirty seven cruises I've been on.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The waiters and bar staff were great, so was the room steward, unfortunately the same couldn't be said for the customer services who failed to sort out a particular problem with our cabin which took twelve separate complaints for them to do something practical about the problem, after all it is nice to have a working toilet for the second half of your cruise.
Ship Quality
2 out of 5
Ship design was ok but she is showing her age, lots of rust patches and minor maintenance issues. When in port with other cruise ships we noticed their crews painting , cleaning Windows etc. This did not seem the case with the infinity.
Cabin / Stateroom
1 out of 5
There was nothing wrong with the cabin itself other than the toilet wasn't flushing and after twelve complaints and twelve attempts to fix it over the first week of our cruise, we were finally moved to another cabin.
Ship tip
Don't select cabin 2175 as I don't know if they have finally solved the problem with the toilet.
The ship is a bit far from the terminal, you have to use the shuttle bus . Very chaotic when disembarking the ship to go home in the terminal. We went to the tango show and went to see a gouchio demonstration. Buenos Aires itself is quite run down in parts.
This is a great port of call but be aware some parts are very run down and are dangerous to wander around. Follow the ships advice and don't flash the cash ware expensive jewellery or carry expensive cameras etc. One person had her necklace snatched whilst out and about. We went around all the main sights and they were amazing but the main thing was the carnival , which was truly a sight to see
Simply awful we felt that they couldn't get rid of us quick enough . Kicked off the ship too early into the chaos of the terminal, waiting for the disorganized transfers to the airport for a seven hour wait for our flight. We felt it was a case of we have had your money now get lost.
Don't worry the chances of you getting that cabin are pretty slim but on the off chance you do go and give customer services some stick and demand another cabin.
