Review summary

This cruise was relaxing, entertaining, informative - everything I hoped for and more.  The room was comfortable and clean, the cabin attendants were extremely courteous and helpful.  The food was delicious, and we found a service team who made each meal a delight.  They watched and remembered our reactions to food and offered options they thought we would appreciate.  We had very good experiences with our shore excursions, especially the trip to the penguin preserve, which I will remember for the rest of my life. The entertainers were talented and enthusiastic, and the cruise staff encouraged participation by all.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Staff watched over food quality. When an undercooked chicken item was noted, manager immediately removed it.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Enjoyed various trivia games, tried some dancing lessons, and attended all of Milos' talks (he was terrific).

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Lounge bands were talented, dancers terrific. Some of the vocals for the big shows were not very strong. Particularly loved the pianist, the Motown quartet, and the Russian acrobat couple.

Children's Programs

Service and Staff

Gedet, Ayuni, and Liudmyla were exceptional dining staff. Kleyn & Judas were wonderful cabin attendants.

Room was a nice size, and had ample storage for us. The veranda was fun, except for the afternoon it started getting cold and the door was stuck so I couldn't get in until my daughter got back to open from the inside.

Scenery was beautiful. Stagger return times of tours or coordinate better with local authorities to avoid re-boarding mess.

I LOVED the penguins!

Punta Del Este, Uruguay

Tour was rather limited, but that may be because the one we wanted was cancelled due to holiday.

Montevideo, Uruguay

Tour guide had limited English - maybe only the script and a pretty boring delivery.

Buenos Aires, Argentina
