Review summary
This was our first cruise. We experienced one of the best vacations on the Celebrity Infinity. Since this was our first, we didn't really know what to expect. We were thrilled from the minute we boarded. Pictures were taken, greeters with drinks, and friendly staff members made the first impression great. It only got better from there. We booked a balcony room and were so rewarded for that choice. The view was spectacular as well as service for our every need. We especially loved all the entertainment every hour. We attended many different shows and classes which enriched the whole experience. We chose an excursion at every port and very informative guides. We went salmon fishing in Ketchikan and caught about 12 salmon which we had shipped home and will share with family and friends. We saw the glaciers, had a small tour to the Yukon in Skagway with many stops for pictures. And were delightfully treated to an evening tour of the Butchart Gardens in Victoria, B.C. This vacation cruise I would recommend for those that love the outdoors, cool weather in the middle of summer heat and no worries of moving from hotel to hotel. The very best part for us was the Tracy Arm Fjord. Our captain took the ship all the way to the end with the most spectacular scenery when other ships turned around. Pros: The best parts of the cruise was the positive attitudes and friendliness of everyone on staff. This made everyday start and end with a pleasant experience.
Cons: It's hard to think of anything that we didn't like. I guess it would be the cost of drinks.
