Glad we chose Celebrity

Sail Date: July 02, 2010

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

First time cruisers, although I went NY to Europe and back in 1960. Enjoyed ourselves enough to look forward to a Panama Canal cruise in the future. Probably would try to cruise with 2 or 3 other couples in the future.

Pros: The crew and the food

Recommends Celebrity Infinity? Yes!

Ship Quality
Some of the furnishings in the suites are becoming dated
Cabin / Stateroom
Spacious, well laid out, clean and comfortable, but some of the furniture is at the end of its useful life.
Food and Dining
The food and the service staff were the stars.
Service and Staff
Very well served, by name, by a professionally trained cabin and wait staff.
The captain was able to maneuver the ship through the icebergs as we approached the Tracy Arm Glacier. Very impressive and thrilling.
Victoria, British Columbia
Lovely city. Would like to spend more time there.
Ketchikan, Alaska
In all three ports we were struck with the number of jewelry stores (from the Caribbean) that had nothing at all to do with Alaska.
Don't Miss: Natural beauty
Skagway, Alaska
Met a young lady driver/guide on a tour bus and got a pretty good picture of life in Skagway.
Juneau, Alaska
We tried, with some limited success, to meet locals to get a flavor of Alaska.
Don't Miss: The glacier
