Review summary

This was our first cruise and we enjoyed it. Don't know how the Infinity compares to other ships (since we've never been on any other), but we found it to be very nice and quite comfortable. Would definitely reserve an outside stateroom next time although the inside stateroom was adequate for our needs. Bathrooms were a little small and could be uncomfortable for a "larger" person. Service onboard was excellent. Greatly enjoyed the S.S. United States restaurant -- well worth the additional dining charge. Suggest checking into excursion booking off the ship, prior to travel or when arriving in port, as the ship's excursion pricing seemed higher.

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food was quite good, with a variety of menu choices although there weren't many different restaurant options onboard. The dinner service was excellent; highly recommend the S.S. United States for a special evening's dining.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff was terrific; we had a unique situation in that two of our party of four were booked with a special group and the other two were not; we needed to switch one from each stateroom, which was done for us without any problem. We also had to change the dinner seating so that we were all at the same table; and the maitre d' went out of his way to accommodate us. Our stateroom attendants were very attentive and helpful, taking good care of us during our cruise.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Public areas were clean and well-kept.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The size of the interior stateroom was as expected; decor was ok, bed was more comfortable than it appeared to be. Attendants kept stateroom quite clean, and the nightly turn-down service was nice. Our location was good: amidship and on a lower deck. We found that we experienced less movement in our stateroom location than we felt on the higher decks.

Ports of call

Sitka, Alaska

Luckily it is a very small port because having to take the tenders to/from the ship takes some time, although the transport was very well organized.

Ketchikan, Alaska

Probably our favorite port, with a "frontier-like" appearance. Clean and friendly.

Juneau, Alaska

Pros: The service was wonderful. And the glacier was awesome!

Cons: We thought that the shopping plaza could have been larger and needed with more variety.
