Review summary

Overall, it was a great cruise experience. would love to have had self-serve laundry on board the ship as they do on Princess and Oceania. Cost of having laundry done is ridiculous.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
smooth and painless

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
clean, good food choices and good food quality buffet could get very crowded at lunch and at departure breakfast - they should prepare for additional venues at those times, including more outdoor seating

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
fitness center which had good equipment but inadequate space around weight lifting area. Very little enrichment learning and no pre-port information lectures- very disappointing

Entertainment

4 out of 5
very good stage shows and musicians. I am not into comedians and magicians so can't comment on those shows

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
excellent room steward, Bo, personnel were extremely friendly, polite and accommodating except for rude and ignorant desk services- got 3 different answers from 3 different people on how to get from the ship to Civitavecchia train station- and there was a 6 Euro shuttle NONE of them told us about (Celebrity sold a 29 Euro shuttle !!!!! )

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
very clean and well-maintained ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
worked for my daughter and I (thought there is never enough room for 2 females with a single bathroom!). Really don't need a desk in the rooms, but would have preferred lager bed side tables for books, kindle, eyeglasses, and drinks

Ship tip

wi fi and drink package if you like better coffee, bottled water and soft drinks

Ports of call

Barcelona, Spain

Valletta, Malta

Piraeus (Athens), Greece

Kusadasi (Ephesus), Turkey

5 out of 5
get so sick of the rug visits- especially when they herd everyone in, and then close the door

Santorini, Greece

4 out of 5

Mykonos, Greece

4 out of 5

Katakolon (Olympia), Greece

5 out of 5
did a beach visit, which was well accommodating but you need water shoes as the beach sand is coarse and uncomfortable to walk on and flip flops are not adequate

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

5 out of 5
can get a really cheap train ticket (about an hr. ride) and a shuttle comes to the port for a 6 Euro cost to get to the station directly (no transfer to a bus that drops you off 3 streets from the station as the ship service desk suggests. Takes about 1.5 -2 hrs. from leaving the ship to get into Rome. Then will need a taxi to your hotel, so count on another 30 min or so depending on traffic.= earlier the better

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
except for the misinformation, it was painless
