Review summary

Overall, we enjoyed our cruise on the Equinox. Loved the ports. First half of the cruise was somewhat stressful in the lido as we were not allowed to self-serve. Crazy lines for food. NO EXPLANATION was given by the ship personnel. Then, on the 5th or 6th day, self-service was back. Staff was joyous! We assumed there was some sort of quarantine but were never informed. Just chaos and lines for food!

DJ - AMAZING I must be getting old as the theater productions did not appeal to me. Bring back the older Broadway productions.

Somehow they kept up with the extra demands of their jobs due to the cleaning protocols imposed by Celebrity due to the previous cruise's outbreak of an illness. Staff needs to be commended.

Cabin steward was attentive as possible; only had to remind him a few times of special requests.

Ship tip

Be prepared for a long wait and lots of standing at tender ports. I do not know if it was the fault of Celebrity or outsourced tender services, but the extraordinary 2+ hour wait to return to the ship from Grand Cayman, was unacceptable! Lucky for the ship it was a cloudy day as older folks nearly passed out from heat. No place to sit; no shade and only 2 tenders operating. Unbelievable. Celebrity needs to improve their tendering process.

Terrible tender process with 2+ hour wait in line to return to ship. Ship gave no explanation and no compensation. A free bottle of water would have been nice!
