Review summary

As an overall experience our 25th anniversary cruise was a delight! Our cabin was lovely, the staff nothing but helpful! Celebrity seems to be especially dedicated to seeing their guests have an exceptional experience! Our only hitch was a recommended excursion in the Bahamas that was wayyy below Celebrity standards as well as it lacking in safety.

Food and Dining

BLU dining was made special because of the great staff serving us! Ronnel, Orly and Jesus were wonderful! They were friendly, happy and I don’t think they ever walked at a normal pace! Seems like Jesus especially was always almost running. So eager to please and go the extra mile. We just loved Nenod (sp?) the Maitre D’ and Melannie the hostess! We would choose Celebrity again just because of them. Marly was so special as well in Café Al Bacio!! Hard working, friendly and so loyal to Celebrity.

Service and Staff

Already covered most but Cruzito our cabin steward was delightful! He always remembered our names and never missed an opportunity to touch up our room. Every single time we returned to our cabin it was perfect.

Ship Quality

Wow was the Equinox a vibrant and squeaky clean ship! Seems like the staff were forever cleaning! It made us feel safe from Covid concerns. One day the decks has been washed on the fifth floor and we went out to sit and read and all the chairs were soaking wet. We went to Café Al Bacio to ask for a towel to dry our chairs off. Rather than that, in two minutes, someone showed up and promptly dried out chairs off so we could enjoy being outside! Impressive!

Already spoke about Cruzito and how clean our room was but overall our room was so inviting and comfortable. The way the beds are made is so special and the pillows divine.

Ship tip

Try specialty dining and for sure glassblowing! Sushi on Five was a fabulous experience and fairly priced. Was unable to get into Murano’s or Tuscan Grille which was a bit disappointing.

It was fun. We had a walking excursion including an authentic food experience. It was good. Our tour guide was funny informative and a delight to be with.

We had a snorkeling trip by catamaran. It was sooo great!!! The boat was well maintained, the staff communicative and attentive. Lots of safety protocol followed. The snacks and drinks were very welcomed after snorkeling! We would buy the excursion again.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Trevor and Pierre were the best! So fun and humorous. Very helpful and even though we were in a high speed boat to go snorkeling and swimming, we felt very safe.

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

Our excursion was cancelled by the provider so we were disappointed about that. The ship was only there for about 5 hours so our only recourse was to walk around the shops near the ship. It was clean and people were friendly. We tried to get on another snorkeling trip but they were full.

Nassau, Bahamas

The port was fine but the excursion was troublesome! No safety precautions covered. Inadequate snorkeling gear provided. No fins/flippers. No explanation about the ocean current. No head count upon returning to the vessel to be sure they had everyone. Nothing to drink but a cooler of water, which we didn’t feel safe to drink. Other beverages were for purchase only and advertised as a full bar and was hardly that. The staff were non-communicative and not helpful. I am a master scuba diver and the current was a test without fins even for me and no warning was given. Upon returning to the catamaran I observed a guest REALLY STRUGGLING to return to the boat because of the current and no one was paying attention. We had to point it out and then someone went into the water to offer assistance. This excursion did not reflect the high level of service and care that Celebrity is known for.
