Great experience! Loved being pampered and really enjoyed our premium beverage package! We can't wait until February 2021 to travel on the Equinox again! She is a grand ship!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Our embarkation experience was great. We were able to complete embarkation in about 10 minutes. There were no long lines or long waits at any of the checkpoints.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The food in the Oceanview cafe was always delicious. Since we were travelling in Aqua Class, we were able to eat breakfast and dinner in the Blu dining room. The food in the Blu was extraordinary. The waiters were very attentive and never let your drink run dry! The staff in the Blu was very friendly and always displayed impeccable, manners.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Some of the activities we enjoyed on our cruise were the pool and hot tub in the Solarium. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool and sun bathing on sea days. One of our favorite activities was the Persian Garden heated beds and the Relaxation Lounge located in the spa area.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The ship's musicians were great. We especially enjoyed the music by the house band. Anytime they were playing there were several couples dancing along with their music.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
We received impeccable service from our wait staff and our room steward was great. Everyone was very accommodating and eager to make our cruise the best!
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
We did not find any area of the ship that was not clean. There were always staff making sure the restrooms were clean and that the common areas were clean and disinfected.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Our cabin was an Aqua Class stateroom. It was very comfortable for the two of us. We enjoyed sitting on our balcony, but missed having footstools this year. The shower in our stateroom was amazing (one of the perks of Aqua Class).
Not one of favorites, but we didn't do an excursion in San Juan. We walked to several different shops looking for souvenirs and were able to find a few to bring home.
Beautiful port! The water was so clear in St. Thomas. Again, we did not do any excursions. We walked through the market area and found some tshirts to purchase. We enjoyed watching the iguanas near the port. They are quite entertaining!
We are not big fans of using a tender to reach the port. It took about 15 minutes to reach the port from the ship. The one thing that we will remember about Samana is the extreme poverty that exists there.
Very nice port! The walk from the shop to the entrance to the main street seemed like it would never end. We did do an excursion on a tour bus that took us to Atlantis and the J. Watling Distillery. The driver was very knowledgeable about all things Nassau. Overall, this was a very pleasant experience!
