Review summary

Overall, it was a great cruise and we'll use Celebrity again. Food was a bit bland, but I'm sure there was a reason. Service and cleanliness we're too notch!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Quick and easy...if you've already set up your photos and/or have priority embarkation, stay to the left for expedited entry. We missed it, but even the main lines were ridiculously fast!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We ate at Oceanview Cafe, Silhouette, Blu, Murano, Le Petit Chef, and Tuscan...since it was an anniversary trip, we did it up! To make it easier, I'm posting specific reviews below, bit generally, the food was pretty good. Buffet was crowded during main meal times and had the usual buffet feel and taste. Food throughout the cruise was a bit bland...maybe because of the broad audience. Desserts seemed almost sugar free...that said, they had a wide variety of options and the staff was wonderful.

Le Petit Chef at Qsine

3 out of 5

The video was cool, but the food was mediocre in our estimate. Since the video runs for everyone, you ha e to wait for the entire restaurant to move to the next course before you can continue. You're also locked into a menu if you want to watch...cute, but not our schtick.

Blu Restaurant

5 out of 5

All the staff there were great, but Amelia's exuberance, Ekaterina's smile, and Wayne's knowledge made the meals! We had a total of 5 meals at Blu...was great every time though I have to say the desserts were not very sweet...but that was anywhere on the ship, not just Blu. The staff made the experience worth every moment...

Murano Restaurant

5 out of 5

By far the best we had...staff was amazing and the food was great. Take the time, spend the money, and visit Murano...

The Spa Café

5 out of 5

Great place to stop for morning coffee without having to go through the lines and crowds...

Tuscan Grille

3 out of 5

Billed as a high-end Italian restaurant, it's good, but staff seemed rushed and food just wasn't that great. Maybe the pasta dishes were better than the steaks...

Oceanview Café and Bar

4 out of 5

Good options and always clean...

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Lots to do unless you have kids...oh, and no Bingo...

Jogging Track

3 out of 5

Constantly packed since it's the main walkway to the buffet...

Fitness Center

5 out of 5

Busy at times, but adequate for almost any workout with high quality machines, cardio including treadmills and elliptical, and dumbbells going up to 75 lbs.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The comedy shows were great...rest were ok, but typical for cruise ships. Oh...and go see Liar's Club - Capt Tasos steals the show!

Celebrity Theater

4 out of 5

The theater in general needs some updates...chair pans lean forward a bit, forcing you to push yourself back slightly while seated. Minor issue for some maybe...I just think it was due to all the butts in 'em over time.

Art Gallery

5 out of 5

Very cool...watched some of the auction and some paintings were being sold for $25k plus...what?!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was absolutely amazing! From our room steward, Mat, to the wait staff to the wandering cleaning staff, everyone truly seemed to enjoy their time. Charlie and Richard at the World Class Bar were wonderful - take the mixology class if you can, but if not, stop by anyway! Drinks are great and the guys are fun...tell em Brian and Alicia sent you! Every need during the week was taken care of. Oh, and Capt Tasos was absolutely amazing as well...funny dude and Greek to boot! Then there's cruise director Dan...everyone loves a funny ginger!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Layout was easy to learn and the ship was the cleanest I've seen.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Normal size with ample storage room. Bathroom was great with plenty of shower space and a shower tower. Water was nice and soft and pressure was great.

Ports of call

San Juan, Puerto Rico

Barcardi was pretty cool... beautiful grounds and great drinks!

Nassau, Bahamas

Rained all day...
