Review summary

We really enjoy celebrity cruise line and the equinox… Captain Kate and her staff were incredible… We would definitely take another cruise on celebrity, but we will wait until this ship is complete

Embarkation

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We think that the drink packages definitely the way to go… Great drinks… Food is fresh and always excellent… You can eat as much as you want!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There is so much to do… Anyone who complains about not enough activities has either not left the room or never got on board! LOL From Dan to Desk there is always something to do… You’ll need a vacation from your vacation!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The DJ is playing great music… The entertainment/shows are very entertaining and very professional

Children's Programs

We did not have any children with us

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We really appreciate the first class service that the staff/management/captain and admirals… But especially the cruise director! Everyone is so friendly… And can never go out of their way enough to give first class service!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship is the perfect size for us… We never seem to be overwhelmed or crowded… Just enough staff to keep things running smooth… It’s a large ship… But never too far from end to end… Plenty of shops and activities… Steph keeps this ship well-maintained and very clean… We were a little disappointed, as we were told that there was going to be a major renovation which included a lot of the common areas and our suite... would you realize that there was and issue which only allowed for a partial renovation of the ship… But we did not know about it until after we were ready to set sail!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
This room was the perfect size… Although we were told it was going to be renovated/upgraded to the look of the “edge“ the furniture and color scheme were pretty dated… And we were looking forward to the upgraded “Cashmere bedding“ which was not replaced until our third night

Ship tip

If you are in taste by the upgrade/renovation… Check into the process before setting sail… We were told that the rest of the renovation would not be complete for about two more years… We love the ship! We were just looking forward to the modern look we were Told about and sold on

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

5 out of 5
The new terminal is beautiful! The city itself seems pretty clean and we felt very comfortable

San Juan, Puerto Rico

3 out of 5
This Port is still recovering from the hurricane… But there seem to be a lot of parity and panhandlers… Which got old pretty quick…

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

4 out of 5
Very beautiful island…

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

3 out of 5
Pretty island… Not a whole lot to do at the port, seems like the same old shops and souvenirs… Just a different name on the shirt

Nassau, Bahamas

5 out of 5
Very disappointing… The port itself was pretty run down… The shopping in downtown was even less appealing… it was our least favorite of all the ports… It was raining which of course could not be controlled… But it was a little disheartening to see how many businesses were closed, as we were told that the government imposed a higher tax, which obviously affected the prices and less negotiations for great deals. It was a little unsettling… And at times we felt a little unsafe with some of the local characters .

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Seamless/very quick and convenient… Beautiful facility
