This was a perfect week and a trip of a lifetime that we hope to do again soon!

Embarkation

Very quick and easy. We were on board in about 15 minutes

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We ate dinner only in the main dining room. The food was excellent and the service was wonderful. The buffet could get crowded, but we always found a seat and the food was plentiful.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The pool was crowded, but we were able to find seats 1 level up. We did glass blowing and karaoke.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The shows were excellent, the live bands were great too. We had 2 very funny comedians, and a excellent magician. The a Capella singing group was also enjoyable. the White Party was fun and the silent disco was a hoot. The Marriage Games show was the funniest thing we saw all week.

Children's Programs

We did not sail with children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward was outstanding, and the waiters were efficient and unobtrusive. They were all excellent

Ship Quality

There is a reason Equinox is rated the #1 ship. She is nearly a decade old and is in excellent shape. She is immaculately kept!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We loved our balcony, and the room was a very nice size. The room did not get everything that was planned in the recent revolution, but nothing was worn or dated. The room was very quiet. The bed was a little hard, but we were rocked to sleep each night.

Ship tip

Take advantage of as much as possible. Go to the shows, take a dance class, sing karaoke....whatever you want. Equinox does not have water parks, slides, roller coasters and surfing, but there is more to do than you can fit into 24 hours...or do nothing...it is your vacation!.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

Did not do too much pre-cruise. Airport, cruise port and hotel all very close.

Key West, Florida

We did the Old Town Trolley. It was educational and enjoyable. we got to see the southernmost point, saw a beautiful church, ate a lobster roll and key lime pie and walked Duvall street. A wonderful stop.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

We just got off the ship to shop around the port for about an hour. We treated this as a ship day which was nice as the pool was less crowded,

Cozumel, Mexico

We went to Paradise Beach. the beach was nice, the food was great, but the pool was spectacular. Big and clean and not crowded at all. We would go back for the pool alone!

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
The beauty of 7 Mile Beach was breath-taking! Without a doubt, the best beach we have ever seen. We went to Calico Jacks/Public Beach and rented chairs and an umbrella. our best day of the cruise!

Disembarkation

Very quick to get off. We did the luggage valet service and did not see our bags till we got to our home airport. The facial recognition made getting through customs a breeze
