The ship was very nice and easy to get around. Service was impeccable. Food, which was supposed to be fantastic, was all over the board from great to inedible. The entrees tended to be weaker and all the courses before were better. Tuscan Grille was a shocking disappointment. Very clean ship everywhere you went. Very basic options for activities and older crowd.
Embarkation
1 out of 5
worst part of the cruise, handled terribly by Celebrity
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Dining room service was spectacular as well as bar and wine service however the food was average and the specialty Tuscan Grille was a big disappointment
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
fitness center was huge and nice and clean....the Equinox really doesn't have any "extra" things to do outside of the typical. That was expected though.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
One comedian was great, one was decent, the acrobat show was an excruciating bore and the accappella act was okay and would have been better had they not been singing to a much older audience.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Room steward and dining room service by all servers was amazing. Coffee place was fantastic for service. Only weak link was the service at the specialty restaurant
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Extremely clean and great design. There was no signs of wear anywhere on the ship
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Room and veranda were typical. Cabin was spotless as well as bathroom. Concierge class had no real advantage for the room BUT it put us on deck 12 which I enjoyed being higher up.
Ship tip
If you're looking for activities out of the norm do not choose this ship, but the service is amazing
Was Tuscan Grille really that bad? We’re booked to eat there on the first night of our cruise. I can handle “ok” food if there is a good view, but can’t handle paying $30 a person for disgusting food. I’ve heard it’s comparable to Olive Garden lol
