Review summary
After 20+ cruises, this was our first on Celebrity. We were pleasantly surprised how much we enjoyed this cruise. It met, and went above our expectations. This may be one of our top 3 cruise lines from here on out. We tried 2 new cruise lines last month. Both in the Caribbean and each for 7 days. The Celebrity Equinox was the second leg of our trip. We primarily cruise with NCL or Royal Caribbean. From the moment we stepped on the ship, we were treated with the respect, courtesy, and hospitality you would expect from the cruise industry. Throughout the cruise, there were two things that stood out that made us want to consider Celebrity for future cruises. First was the professionalism, respectfulness and attentiveness of the staff. This was probably the best service from a cruise staff that we’ve experienced. (Disclaimer: we just got off of a cruise that was probably the worst service we have experienced while on a cruise). The hospitality and helpfulness of this staff basically saved our two week trip and restored our appreciation of cruising. Next, the food was phenomenal. We have been on at least 5 other cruise lines, and I’d say the food (and food service) was on par with or better than our best eating experience. I’d elaborate, but it would just make me hungry. The shows were not great, but not bad. The ship is a little older, but appeared to be maintained well. Overall, when the price is right, we’ll be looking to book another Celebrity cruise.Embarkation
