Review summary

Substituted Curacao and Martinique for the cancelled ports. The captain did a great job keeping out of harm's way. We were thankful that Miami was spared a direct hit and we pray for all those on the islands that were not so lucky.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very fast, on the ship for lunch.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Blu (9 nights and mornings) and Murano (2 nights) are excellent. The buffet lunches at Oceanview are better than you'd ever expect at a buffet.

Onboard Activities

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Waiters, bartenders and cabin steward were great. All officers and crew would always greet you whenever passing anywhere on the ship.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Love the Solstice class - just the right size

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Reasonable size (balcony is great), always clean.

Ship tip

Eat at Murano

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

5 out of 5
Had a great time in downtown Miami the day before sailing.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas Did not visit port

Tortola, British Virgin Islands Did not visit port

St. John's, Antigua

4 out of 5
Enjoyed the tour to Nelson's dockyard.

Bridgetown, Barbados

4 out of 5
Always enjoy walking into town from the port/

Castries, St. Lucia

5 out of 5
The central market is the best we've seen on any island - some shop owners opened even though it was a Sunday

Philipsburg, St. Maarten Did not visit port

Disembarkation

2 out of 5
Disembarkation was moved up an hour (notified the day before). Docked early, but problems clearing the ship and walkways resulted in sitting around for an extra before being let off the ship (no announcements to explain the delay).

Glad you still enjoyed the cruise, recognizing the safety implications for the itinerary changes. Many here echo your sentiments for the mainland and island residents.
