Review summary

We are frequent Celebrity cruisers and enjoy the Equinox. The staff was great in fixing the problem with the 12th deck staterooms. We will travel with Celebrity again. We will also go to directly to Executive management at Celebrity regarding the staterooms, and petition them to put a disclaimer on the website regarding the noise level in these cabins. The situation we encountered should have been known to us prior to departure, just as a restricted view is disclosed in advance. The good news is the staff moved our cabin. The ships executive staff is professional, efficient and friendly. All other factors regarding the ship, the cruise destinations, the food and the amenities of the ship earn a 5 star rating.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Food is always great on Celebrity. The Silk Harvest restaurant is fantastic and all should try it while cruising on Equinox.

Cabin / Stateroom

Cabins on the 12th deck aft, are below the Oceanside Café (the buffet). These cabins should not be premium priced and should be avoided when possible. The food prep, the dishwashers and the buffet set-up are directly over the cabin and the noise starts in the very early morning.

Ship tip

The ship is very comfortable and east to navigate. The staff is great. Food is always above average the specialty restaurants are very good. Celebrity makes the onboarding and disembarking easy for their Captains Club members.

The Panama Canal is exciting and fabulous to see. That is the only reason for this stop, for the city itself seemed poverty stricken.

Thanks for the review - we've always had a good time on Celebrity ships - didn't realize the galleys were so high up. Sad about Panama - I remember when it was a thriving port. I've watched it dissolve and deteriorate (there is a city center though - quite upscale).
