Review summary

I have sailed Celebrity before and highly recommend it over other cruise lines I have been on. The staff is unbelievably responsive, friendly and helpful. The Concierge room was roomy, well maintained and just fine for a long cruise. The food was very good generally with sufficient variety for everyone.  The Eastern Mediterranean Ports were all perfect with the exception of Crete, which I might skip, but each stop gave you sufficient time for a solid overview of the historic sites, the people and some free time. I would do your own research for excursions rather than rely on the few ship ones, particularly focusing on private tours rather than the big bus ones. The downside on the cruise is the entertainment and activities - not top notch, but ok. Overall, it was a terrific trip with lasting memories of people, places and experiences.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Dinner food was generally very good and lunch/breakfast had wide range of selections which were good. Overall, slightly less than great food, maybe good +

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
poor selection of activities

Entertainment

3 out of 5
mediocre comedy, singing, juggling etc. - need to improve

Ship tip

Sunset Bar was the best and not too many people discovered it - at sunset, it is unbelievably peaceful, serene and inviting.

Ports of call

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

3 out of 5
Took a golf cart tour of Rome that got into unique places cars couldn't. Too short a time in Rome.

Salerno (Amalfi Coast), Italy

5 out of 5
Very touristy but wonderful views and towns

Piraeus (Athens), Greece

Mykonos, Greece

Too touristy but beautiful

Santorini, Greece

Beautiful but it rained for a few minutes which took out all electricity and no way to get down the hill - it was awful and ship gave us no warning and no help.

Souda (Chania), Crete

Barcelona, Spain
