Good time

Sail Date: March 21, 2011

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

The ship is beautiful, the rooms great. THe smoking policy very restrictive so the guests who smoked did so on their decks. We are non smokers and could not use our deck due to constant smoking of guests. Should have smokers in aft rooms or on one side so non-smokers do not pay for a deck they cannot use.

Pros: enjoyed the entertainment the service staff was great

Cons: The cruise line I have always loved has made significant cuts and they are very noticable. The deletion of every midnight buffet. The menu never varied once in the lunch/breakfast buffet. No service staff to carry food to table even for the disabled guests. In fact there were no trays to use.

Recommends Celebrity Equinox? Yes!

Ship Quality
Food and Dining
The Blu dining room was great. THe standard one was understaffed we only used once.
Cabin / Stateroom
Service and Staff
they were overworked and understaffed from past cruises
Entertainment
Cozumel, Mexico
snorkeling/diving
Don't Miss: diving
Puerto Limon, Costa Rica
the jungle, the Port city was a comercial port which was unsafe and with little of interest. Impossible to avoid a canned tour in this area. however the tour with the off road truck was great in the rainforest but the banana plantation could be shortened or even skipped.
Don't Miss: the off road adventure in the jungle wish it would skip the banana farm.
Colon, Panama
Very expensive miserable non airconditioned sitting in those killer plastic chairs on the boat tour to go through locks, It was interesting but there is no reason they could not have fans or a deck that was airconditioned with some real chairs. Plastic and 100 degrees with 100% humidity sitting on platic is miserable.
Don't Miss: the canal saw once never again
Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico
Great for diver, there is little to nothing for non snorkel/divers. If you do not dive or snorkel I would stay on the boat.
Don't Miss: diving
Cartagena, Colombia
took walking tour which was good but expensive and this port was not safe to wander. there is nothing at port.
George Town, Grand Cayman
diving there are activities for nondivers as well.
Don't Miss: diving
