This is our first Alaska Cruise and our first Celebrity Cruises voyage. We were pleasantly surprised with our cruising experience with Celebrity Edge and the beautiful itineraries in Alaska.

Before embarkation we were able to book from four different complimentary Main Dining Rooms and a number of Specialty Dining. The foods were excellent and in the perfect temperature. Great selection of foods were offered and are perfectly seasoned. Even in the Oceanview Cafe buffet lines there were a great selection of foods with different themes each day. The beverage options were excellent. The pizza were excellent and the burgers in Mast Bar is the best.
Onboard Activities

There were great and fun activities scheduled every single day. Since we were on the Alaska Cruise, the activities were generally scheduled indoors but there was never a dull moment. From Silent Disco, ABBA sing along, 80s Disco, Table Tennis, etc. There is never a dull moment if you join the planned activities. Fitness Center programs and the asymmetrically designed jogging and walking tracks were the options to get fit while we cruised.
Entertainment

The entertainment is excellent. The production crew had great shows from variety shows, musicals, comedy/ magic shows, Samantha Smith shows. The DJs have great music selections and were strategically picked for the demographic of the Guests.

The Waiters were excellent, efficient and are fun. The Snack Attendants in the Oceanview Cafe buffet lines were very attentive and helpful. Every crew were friendly and helpful. When you are friendly and respectful to the service staff you also get the best experience with them.
Ship Quality

The ship’s decorations and designs were excellent. The ship is aesthetically well thought of with little and subtle details all over. The whole ship was well maintained and very clean. The stateroom was immaculate and always kept tidy and cozy by the Stateroom Attendant who was very polite and friendly.
Cabin / Stateroom

The stateroom was very spacious. The most spacious inside cabin we have ever been. The room was immaculately clean and very cozy. The mattress were very comfortable.
Ship tip
My tip to those who are about to sail on Celebrity Edge is to join the activities to your liking. Make friends and enjoy the time in this cruise. You will have a very friendly and involved Ship Captain and Officers. The Ships Crew were amazing. Treat them well and you will get the best experience in this Ship. The ship is very beautiful and you need to explore it. Don’t miss the Mast Bar burgers and the Espresso Martini or Lychee Martini in the Martini Bar. Try to book your Dinners ahead and also enjoy the Ocean Cafe Buffet line.
We came a day before the Sailing and visited the Space Needle and the surrounding attractions, the Pike Public Market and the pier area below it. The foods in Pike Market is never to miss.
This town is where we shopped for our souvenirs which were cheaper than other Alaskan Ports in the itinerary. The Crab Feast is the best experience we had here. The Lumber Jack show is highly recommended as well. If you are interested in shopping for one of a kind Alaskan treasures, visit the Beachcomber Store just across the Port and next to the famous doughnut house. A stroll along the downtown Ketchikan is a must as well.
Take a lot of pictures but dress in layers for the best pictures you’re going to get is at the top of the ship. If you are wanting to get the best photos of the Glaciers, try to be on the back of the ship when the ship is about to leave the area. Also, try to record videos of everything around the sceneries because you will be overwhelmed by the gorgeous views around you. You can always get a screenshot of the best footage you have in the videos you took later on.
You can either take a tour/ excursion from the ship or just take a shuttle ride to the Mendenhall Glacier and Nugget Falls. Also, doing the tram ride is recommended for a scenic view of the area. Juneau is beautiful so take a lot of photos.
A train ride to the WhitePass Railway is very enjoyable. We took a lot of videos and pictures during our train ride. Or you can rent a car or take a bus ride to the Emerald Lake. A stroll around the town is fun as well. If you want to buy some jewelry Skagway is a great place to shop.
