Review summary

This was a great cruise with an excellent selection of ports. The ship was beautifully designed, modern and comfortable. Rooms were great as well. On the downside, the specialty and main dining restaurant food quality was mediocre (though the rooms were beautiful), and we had some poor interactions with concierge and restaurant hosts.

Cabin / Stateroom

No noise from the poo, which was a concern. The inifinite veranda was ok, but would have preferred balcony. Also the switch to operate the window was really finicky.

Ship tip

Don't spend money on specialty restaurants, they were designed beautifully but the food was mediocre.

The good in buffet was quite good. This was the surprise.. I was expecting the dining rooms to have better food but we gave up on those and spent most of our meals in the buffet. The only exception was that the Skyview restaurant on the top of the ship was quite good. It's like a BBQ or gastropub type place and everything was tasty. I think it has to do with the kitchen being right there, outdoors with a view from the dining area. My guess is the main dining room food all comes from one big kitchen no matter the restaurant you go to, and the quality there just isn't very good. I was on a Royal Carribean before and have to say the buffet there wasn't very good, so Celebrity was definitely an improvement over that.

If you think the food on your ship was mediocre you should taste the food quality on Princess, Royal Carribean, Norwegian, Carnival, MSC, Cunard it's much worse. This is happening since post covid.

Thanks for your review. Friends of mine who love Celebrity agreed with you on the infinite verandah, said it felt more like a big window and they wouldn’t book it again.

We also prefered the buffet and not the MDR (a lot more choice if you travel with a vegetarian). We loved le petit chef; food/menu was really good.
