Nice new ship, good selection of dinning and high end wines. Stay away from Magic Carpet and Le Bistro

Food and Dining

Main dining room replaced by several Free special dining venues, two thumbs up. But make sure you make reservations online before cruise
Magic Carpet deck a major disappointment. 10 thumbs down!!! We book dinner ($95 per person). No menu online to view. All seafood mostly bottom feeders like oysters clams, etc. I don’t eat seafood. After much hassle, management got me a chicken breast. Wow, most expensive chicken I have ever had. The deck does not move during dinner. Major disappointment. Every diner we talked to was just short of being passed off. SRAY AWAY from the magic carpet. Rest of dining (cafe, coffee, etc) just like other ships on Celebrity
Onboard Activities

Solarium pool area a real plus, quite and very relaxing. Nice fitness center cause it’s new.
Entertainment

Like other cruises. New main theater has different design. New Eden lounge is very unique and a bit wired. But you have to eat dinner there and see one of their shows after dinner
Service and Staff

Excellent as usual
Ship Quality

New ship still feels new after 7 months at sea. The virtual balconies are nice, add room to the small rooms. Make them feel bigger. Rest of ship mostly same. Higher ceilings in some area and more glass makes the ship feel larger and more open.
Cabin / Stateroom

We had handicap room forward that was very large, bath very accommodating
Did 9.5 hour Almaif coast and Sorrento excursion and what a disaster. Sunday traffic was horrible and we spent most of the time on bus struck in traffic. Plus they made 3 stops at commercial businesses (they must being given kickbacks) that no one wanted to see. Tours should be set up as either be Almalfi coast or Sorrento, not both.
Spent two days after cruise. We took the excursion that takes your luggage and you sightseeing bus tour of city. They drop you city center to catch a cab to your hotel. Worth the money.
We are not surprised that dining on the magic carpet is a challenge. There are other ships with other Cruise Lines that have Ocean side dining that we did not enjoy because of windy conditions when the ship was moving. These aren't bad for having a drink or enjoying the Sun but keeping track of food, napkins, cups on a windy day make some outside areas almost unusable for dining. We envisioned the Magic Carpet to be a place to enjoy the ship gliding across the water with drink in one hand and maybe camera in the other. Will see how well this matches reality in October.

Good review. Was told the dining was coming off Magic Carpet due to weather restrictions. Turns out to be an issue and they're unable to correct for Apex. Won't address redesign until Edge #3
I am sure Sunday traffic adds to the drive, however, many of the tours from Naples or Salerno to Sorrento or Positano are going to be by bus on mostly old narrow roads carved on the coastal mountain sides. Also, since public rest rooms are not readily available, some of the stops at merchants give you opportunities for shopping and for comfort.
I had lunch 4 times in 15 days at Le Bistro. Great food. Yes it is extra but really enjoyed it. Celebrity makes a point on their web site that the Magic Carpet does not move ever with guests on it.
