It was a great trip.   food great.   personnel outstanding, they went out of their way to be cheerful, polite and accommodating.  [cabin attendant, Roman Rodriquez and the pool butler.]

Hope to go againBig Smile

The entertainment director, Alejandro, was delightful and was perfect in his job.

Great Cruise, wonderful staff by Tuscangirl

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was my first cruising experience and I must say I enjoyed it more than I expected I would.  I was a bit worried about several days at sea verses going to shore every day.  I actually liked having a bit of both.  It was very relaxing being at sea.  The staff was great, they were very accommodating and friendly. As an admitted foodie, the food on the ship was rather pedestrian but not unexpected.  Most of the time, the food was a bit overcooked and somewhat bland.  We loved the coffee bar on the 5th floor, great cappuccinos.  I highly recommend buying the drink package for the adults.  Those drinks add up quickly if you are paying as you go.....  Getting on and off the ship was easy, no lines except at the end of our trip. Cuzumel was a bust.  Downtown is one big tourist trap!  Every shop sold some version of tourist junk.  I liked the excursion we took.  We booked through the ship the Fury catamaran sail.  Very nice team of people.  The snorkeling was just ok that day, not their fault, just not enough fish.    Entertainment was good, pools were nice, especially the spa pool.  I wish people wouldn't hog the chairs since most of the time, they end up unoccupied.  Typical experience with most vacation venues though.....All in all a good start and Celebrity changed my mind about the cruise experience.  I would select them again for future trips, perhaps a 6 or 7 day next time to more interesting ports.

Room Accomodations by dnicolson1

Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The room for the concierge cruise was beautiful but the daily service was non existent. We did not receive additional amenities like soap and shampoo, our refrigerator was not restocked, we asked for ice and never received it, we only received one additional clean bath towel, there was only one towel art in the evening on the second night of the cruise, no fresh daily flowers as part of the package.

"Connie" cruise by nanalez

Our cruise on the Celebrity constellation was good but not our BEST....

Overall, the ship was beautiful, clean, comfortable.....the "negatives" , less

attention by crew from officers down than other cruise lines,  mediocre food at buffet  and in main dining room.  Very disappointed in Bisto on 5....where we had to pay extra for meal... complained and they did take off charges for one meal. The other negative, entertainment.......also so-so, somewhat disappointing.

We would probably give it another try depending on timing and prices, but will not be our first choice.

Great vacation by pat245

Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Our experience on the Constellation was exceptional.  Our cabin steward, Terry, anticipated all our needs. The wait staff of Rudy, Susanti, and Belinda, only made our fantastic meals more enjoyable with their friendly service.  The ship was well appointed, well maintained, and very comfortable.  Alejandro, our cruise director, was very engaging and only added to the great entertainment they had scheduled for this cruise.  All in all everyone was very attentive to our every need thus making us wish that the cruise would last longer.

great trip by johnalessia

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was our fourth time cruising and probably our best experience.  We love the value that cruising provides and this trip through was particularly so. The itinerary of two stops with days at sea in between was perfect - allowing for sightseeing followed by a day of relaxation.  We had not previously cruised on a Celebrity ship, but it definitely won't be our last.  The ship itself was in great shape and our inside stateroom was well appointed with plenty of storage and a flat screen TV.  We especially enjoyed the pool deck with an indoor  (greenhouse type ceiling) adult only spa/solarium.  The fitness center was also well equipped.  Dining was excellent with four courses for dinner every night.  The wait staff was very personable and attentive.  The cafeteria food was no less delicious and included a carvery for breakfast and lunch. What I liked most about Celebrity Constellation was that it seemed styled for more of a mature crowd.  Sadly, I guess I now fit in that category Happy  For value and an enjoyable vacation, I highly recommend this cruise.

5 nights of not Chicago by victorp1

Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We booked this cruise to escape the cold weather and we did. The temperature was in the mid 80's, the Constellation was a joy to sail on with a great crew, outstanding shows (except for one who I won't mention by name), and the dining room food was excellent.

I'd love to complain but can't since everything from the time we boarded until we left was truly excellent.

Celebrity Constellation March 2015 by glmerle99

Nice ship, nice amenities, very good food, service could have been better in dining room. The wait staff was not very friendly except when we were served by Oscar. He was awesome. Very efficient and friendly. You could tell he loved what he was doing. Other wait staff were efficient but not friendly. Special orders were not done when asked.

great ship- just the right size.  the food was very good- don't waste money on specialty restaurants- main one was very good and served lobster on formal night.  entertainment was mostly very good- except for one performer one night and afternoon activities on the pool deck were alot of fun also

have cruised other lines and Celebrity is one of the "more upscale" ones.

food was ok, the facilities were great, and shows were so great, but the room service was too slow and towels were not changed to new towels quickly. I didn't like to share the dinner table with the strangers but I could get the private table whenever I asked the restaurant manager so it was great.

One of the best experiences I have ever had in my life. The crew is absolutely amazing. Very clean, great food, great service, and great entertainment! However, if you need a doctor, make sure you only become ill during office hours other wise, you will pay. But you can eat and drink 24/7!

Underwhelmed by sparky40

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We have cruised about 6 times, this being the first on Celebrity. The itinerary and price fit our needs for this mini vacation. BJ's travel was great! The ship was beautiful but we were expecting "over the top" service. We had heard that Celebrity was a "step above" Royal Caribbean and we were quite underwhelmed. The steward, the entertainment, the cruise director and guest relations were excellent. We found that the bar service was lacking--you had to stand in line at the bar and service was slow. At dinner, a bar server never came to the table and poolside there were hardly any servers! We had to ask our waiter every night to get someone so we could have a cocktail or wine and they couldn't understand simple requests--my husband asked for bourbon and continually got scotch. We noticed that in the buffet restaurant many dirty tables waited a long time to be cleared--that would NEVER have happened on Royal Caribbean or Norwegian! We also noticed that at some of the outdoor seating areas, the floors were never swept and the tables were not cleared in a timely fashion!  We had a great time but, sorry Celebrity, we'll stick to Royal Caribbean and Norwegian!!

Fun short cruise with great service. by londonluv007

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Cruise was March 12, 2015 for four nights to the Bahamas and Key West. Nice short cruise for couple in their 40's. Partner is a first time cruiser and I have cruised Norwegian before.   We had a balcony room. The room was exceptionally clean. A little outdated but very clean. They really could do without the large mirrors, those were not that great to have, and outdated. Our room steward was amazing. Best service ever. Had a scare with some luggage that came exceptionally late but the room stewards were constantly checking in and ensuring we were comfortable.

The first stop was the Bahamas which was beautiful. Seen the Atlantis Aquarium.  Bought the excursion of a bus tour on and it was great. They dropped us off at Atlantis. Easy to get a cab back to the boat in time to rest and eat a nice dinner.

Day at Sea was ok, the boat could offer more activities but this ship is mainly for an older crowd who likes to sun bathe etc. I did like the activities a bit more on Norwegian such as the climbing wall and tennis courts etc. Celebrity fails to offer these things at least on this ship.  Also when you are at sea the whole day best to get your chair for sun bathing in the early morning. We found each seat gone and became disappointed we could not sit out there during the high sun hours. So that was the only negative for the Day at Sea.

The second stop of Key west was just as nice as the Bahamas.  Beautiful day for a nice walk down Duval Street. Seen all the shops, Hemingway's house was great as well. Ate a great lunch. Just a wonderful time there as well.

Food on Constellation was plenty. I even gained 5 lbs after this trip so I know it was good and I am a finicky eater! The choices were abundant during breakfast my favorite time of the day to eat. The one thing the ship has to change is the omelette station. Too packed to enjoy. I think if they offered it at a separate place it would be better. The fresh lox was delicious in the AM. Dinner was nice in the dining room, I loved the French cuisine restaurant the best. Service was impeccable at all dining places.

Entertainment could have been better. I also feel Norwegian did a better job with that offering more shows such as a Cirque du Soleil type etc. I think Celebrity needs to bring in some more talent for something like that. Maybe even offer plays or some theater would be nice esp for an older crowd, or even music like jazz.

All in all a great short cruise especially for first time cruisers. I would recommend to anyone.

OK cruise by ksullivan386

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The ship was very clean but an older ship and lacked modern day activities. If you didn't want to be around the pool area there was very little to do. The crew were somewhat friendly but not over the top friendly like I'm found on my other seven cruises. A large percentage of the crew would not even talk to you - just a little smile. The room accommodations were excellent and our steward did an excellent job.

The food was simply OK. The food had a bland taste - like food you would get at a cafeteria. We never got any meal that made you go WOW like on all the other cruise ships we were on.

They crew did an excellent job getting us on and off the boat at all ports. The ship had a modern look for being an older ship. The shows were good but not to our liking. The performers were all very talented but we left before the shows were over on two of them along with  many other individuals. The comedian was outstanding.

I don't want to sound down about this cruise it just wants the over the top type service and food we've received on other cruise ships

Celebrity consistently delivers an excellent cruise experience.  It is always a classy but unpretentious environment, with a staff that provides some of the best customer service we've ever seen - on land or at sea.

Constellation March 7th 2015 by Floridasouth

Celebrity Constellation March 07, 2015

My wife and I are veterans to cruising from our very first cruise with Carnival in 1990 to our latest cruise with Celebrity last weekend.  Over the years as we aged and matured we moved up to Celebrity and this was our 3rd cruise with the line.  We sailed on the Reflection last December and booked 2 future cruises, one on the Silhouette in December of 2015 and another to be determined later in 2016.  We took a cruise in September of 2014 on the Norwegian Getaway in the Haven and decided to grow out Captains Club points with Celebrity.

Unfortunately, my wife and I were among the unlucky guests on the Celebrity Constellation sailing from Port Everglades on March 07, 2015.  This cruise was a disaster from the moment we entered the ship, made our way through the decks and waited for our room to be ready in the Oceanview café.  We immediately got the feeling we were on a Carnival Cruise to nowhere.  As soon as we went to our stateroom, there were unruly college students on spring break lining the corridors, drinking and breaking all the dress code rules.  My wife and I started to unpack when we heard running, cursing and banging on walls outside our room.  My wife called guest services and noted that obviously, this was not going to be the cruise we had paid for and expected to enjoy aboard a Celebrity ship.  She asked if the manager could call us and provide us with a credit so we could leave the ship and book another cruise at a different time.  We did not feel this was an unreasonable request, we were not asking for a refund, only a credit for the future.  This is where the pattern of lip service and inaction began.  We were assured that the crew was trained to handle situations like this and there would be no problems on board.  We also complained because our room was far from clean, the desk was heavily stained, the balcony was not even cleaned from the previous guests, the bathroom was cleaned with a lick and a promise.  We were assured by Christina, the employee of the year, that all of our concerns would be addressed and resolved to our satisfaction.  Lip service and inaction was all we received.

The room was supposedly cleaned while we were walking around the ship witnessing a complete breakdown of standards and decorum.  We spoke with Bruna at guest services because after the room was cleaned we noticed someone had trimmed both their finger or toe nails and left the residue on the floor.  What I thought was interesting was the room was cleaned twice at this point and somehow they remained.  We were again assured our concerns would be addressed, we still had time to leave but were again told there would be no credit if we did.  Unbelievably, we returned to the room and only a couple of the nails were removed, the ones I specifically pointed out to the steward, there were several more under the desk but that would have required actually moving the desk chair to vacuum. The steward told us the desk was clean but it was heavily stained and in order to clean it, he would “have to use lots of chemicals and a heavy machine”, to which my wife said no thanks, we don’t want a smell in the room on top of everything else.  My wife did not feel good at this point from the stress so she laid down to try and distress.  Just then a knock at the door and a person with a small bucket arrived to clean the balcony.  I told him he would have to come back later, but seriously, one man with a small bucket was no match for the mess on that balcony.  There are rust stains, dirt stains, ground in dirt, the glass dividers were filthy with paint droppings all over the glass.  Anyway, after the balcony was supposedly cleaned, I took a napkin outside and wiped down the glass, it was black with dirt.

The evening was worse, could not go to the pool, either pool, bars were packed with drunken students who were never told they had enough to drink, we were essentially cut off from the bars and enjoyment of the pools instead.  Dinner at the Blu was very good on the first night but there was nowhere on the ship for us to go and relax, it was terrible.  Sleeping the first night and every night thereafter was nonexistent as unruly passengers ran up and down the halls yelling, banging on doors and being stupid.  Where was the trained crew that Cristina told me had everything under control?  When we complained we were told to call immediately, I guess the trained crew expected me to go out in the hallway and ask them to stay here so I can call security to come and discipline them?  This was an every night occurrence and we were on deck 9.  Other guests told us they had cigarette buts thrown onto their balcony.  Again, lip service and inaction.

The entire day at Sea on Monday was a nightmare.  The crew appeared to rev up the kids with very loud music and unbelievably, allowing beer bottles in the pools and hot tubs.  At one point, my wife and I wanted to walk the track on deck 11 and it was totally blocked by drunks, when we pushed our way through, the kids were obnoxious, unruly and wobbly.  One thing was for sure, the beer kept flowing, even to the obviously drunk ones.  After we made our way through, we stopped above the stage and looked down.  I counted 30 people in and around one hot tub and as many beer bottles lining the walkway around the hot tub.  When I asked a crew member why they were allowing this behavior they looked at me like I was the crazy one, in other words, I believe the crew and security was enjoying the show.

I could go on and on but in summary, my vacation time is limited.  I chose Celebrity and booked the Aqua Spa thinking my wife and I could enjoy a luxury line for the week.  Instead, we spent a week with Celebrity on a cruise that was a nightmare, dirty and shabby room, food that was fit for the drunken students roaming the ship and destroying the cruise for anyone that was not one of them.  I am very disappointed in Celebrity and am planning to cancel the 2 future cruises I have booked with your cruise line.  In closing, there is no reason to book an Aqua Class room or pay for a spa package on the Constellation because not once was I asked to sign in for the Persian Garden or even show my Aqua Class spa and yes, as a result of this the “students” were even using those facilities.  We could not even get peace and quiet in there.

Do not take a cruise in March by tmscip0809

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Caribbean - Western

If I had know that there would have been several college students on board causing such a ruckus, I would have traveled at a different time. I wish I was informed. We were woken up at 3:00am every morning to college students roaming the hallways, being disruptive and disrespectful to other cruisers on board.
