Review summary

Okay cruise but not as good as others we have had.

Embarkation

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food was great in the main dining room and specialty restaurants but underwhelming at the buffet. The fruit was excellent but the soup selection was almost non-existent and there was seldom a meat carving station.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The ship tour was interesting but very overpriced at US $155.10 for an activity that costs zero dollars to put on. The seminars and presentations were basically all the same theme, Hollywood and entertainment, which was good the first two times but got old pretty quickly. The trivia was lots of fun except the DJ was not very engaged when he did the music trivia.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Theatre productions were good, one magician was so-so, the other was great, singers and dancers were mostly good but very loud, comedian was vulgar and not funny.

Children's Programs

No children with us

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
All good except one waiter who seemed to only want to serve people who had tip money in hand.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Clean and maintained as well as they could be except it needs to be totally refurbished. Old and tired ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Comfortable size but a number of cupboard doors didn't close properly, sofa had no springs to speak of, only one bank of electrical outlets by the desk, none in the bathroom or by the bed.

Ship tip

We expected Celebrity to be an upscale cruise option but were disappointed with the experience compared to the other cruise lines we have been on.
