Totally awesome! The Beyond and crew went Beyond our expectations!

Went on the Beyond on Dec 11, 2023 for the first time on this ship. The below is the review: The Good: 1) The ship itself is outstanding, to the point that it is the best ship I have been on, up to this time, as far as design and functionality. 2) A new Chief Executive took over the cruise line, I think in May of this year, and she has improved the food to a point where there is nothing bad that can be said. The buffet is perfect, like the hot food is hot and the cold food is cold, which before was a problem. Even the muffins and bread are moist and have a taste now, whereas before there was no taste and things were dry. The four main restaurants, although I only tried the Italian, were great. I did not visit any of the high-end restaurants. To Laura, the new Chief Executive, touché and thank you for listening to the customers. 3) The Martini bar on Beyond is much better than that bar on the Apex and Edge. Someone messed up, with the design on the APEX and Edge and it was fixed for the Beyond and I hope the Ascent. It is bigger and has a much better design. It’s still not frozen, like the older ships. 4) The overall layout of the ship is brilliant and love the running track. The Bad: 1) This is a big deal, and Celebrity should put this on their website as the customers deserve to know this new un-written rule. Customers cannot drink at the pool, including water, even if in a plastic container, on all the ships in the Celebrity fleet. I verified this with Customer Relations after the main bartender at the pool, Mark, told me that if they catch me with a drink in the pool that I would be thrown out. I went down to Customer Relations and questioned the girl and she was surprised, so she made a call and sure enough she came back to me and indicated for the entire fleet there was no drinking at the pool or on the pool edge. The sign at the pool, labeled a few rules, indicates that there is no food or glass allowed, but nothing about drinks, so this is an unpublished rule, and it sucks, as Royal Caribbean, the parent of Celebrity, is releasing a new ship this month with a pool bar in the pool. Just no logic to this, except maybe laziness. Everyone, take notice of this. 2) Most of the upper-level staff on this ship were not friendly at all. This was the second time I’ve run into this on Celebrity, with the first being on Apex. 3) The DJ’s as a whole suck. I witnessed on two different nights at the Martini bar where the DJ cleared the bar, as he was so bad. They need to bring on Professional DJ’s, who know how to read a crowd. 4) The cruise line is too cheap to buy copy rights so they can play Music Video’s. They’ve got this great disco, with huge video monitors in it and they will not play Music Video’s. For an upper end cruise line, this is absurd. 5) When the music plays at the pool, it sucks. 6) Need more activities at the pool. I was happy the cruise director let us play water volleyball for three hours. 7) For the Verandas, the windows need to be cleaned, as they were dirty the entire time. In closing, I hope the Chief Executive reads this and addresses the bad and feels good about herself for the good.

This was our first time on Celebrity and it was definitely a more elegant feel to the ship than Royal Caribbean. We liked that there were fewer children and the activities were quite varied. The shows were amazing and we loved the non smoking casino. We haven’t abandoned RC but would definitely sail Celebrity again.

This was a 9 day cruise but my husband and I still wished we had a few more days to go. Really had fun.

We were in a noisy cabin the first 3 days and could not sleep. Once we got moved, everything was fine.

Ships great. Let down by lack of and inexperienced staff. Poor food in general. Hard to accept how celebrities standards have dropped. Last cruise for us with them, and we are Elite members. We remember the good times.

Beautiful ship, nicest areas, neat and very clean, great shows and dining, wonderful staff. We will be on the Beyond again in March 2024.

Overall trip was great! However you can see Celebrity is starting to make cut backs in many areas.

1. The state room: good - hot water comes out quick with good pressure, A/C very quiet and efficient, beds comfortable, minimum people noise 5 doors away from the elevator; Bad: lots of noise at night time from the ship structure - banging sound, like some kind of machine movement; also early morning movement above our deck (we are right below the buffet deck). 2. US dollars are used on board, including casino; exchanged $200 dollar worth of Euro and had 50 Euro left after taxi fare, on shore misc purchases. Some places charge 1 euro for use of bath room, so have some coins ready. 3. stayed at Hilton Garden Inn by the airport. Decent accommodation for catching morning flight out. No 110 outlet. 24 hour free shuttle bus for short hop to the airport. 4. Wifi package highly recommended if stay in touch is essential. One user account can be shared by multiple devices; our T-mobile services worked great for email, text, social apps; wifi calls to the states were excellent at 25 cents per minute. 5. Major tour cities - Rome, Pisa, Vatican, Naples - were extremely crowded even on weekdays. 6. Arrive one or two days before the sail day to account for possible flight delays. It did happen to us and we were 15 minutes away of missing our connecting flight to Rome and the whole cruise. 7. stateroom suggestions: a. mid to back (aft) of ship where main dining and buffets are located unless you enjoy long walks, it is a big and long ship. b. stay out of deck that is one deck below activities (pool, restaurants)

My best friend and I booked this cruise with the ambition to celebrate our 25 year friendship, our 40th birthdays and to escape from the global isolation pressures from the pandemic. The Celebrity Beyond surpassed all our expectations and took us the journey and celebration of our lifetimes

This was our first cruise. I was a bit apprehensive about what to expect because I like to explore on land without limitations of having to shut this down early. However, this cruise was incredible. Got a taste of what was to see in the various ports of call but truly enjoyed the ship. The frequent cruises we spoke to during this cruise said this ship and cruise were not typical of cruises and ships. With that said, we are hooked and will be doing this again.

Cruise was fantastic! Stops were amazing but you do need to do the excursions.

Beautiful ship and great itinerary. Very port intensive so be prepared to walk if you decide to leave the ship. We averaged 15k-18k steps per day.

Great ship as we never felt any rocking or rolling. The ship glided across the water

Great ship with a world class coffee bar. On board bakery with delicious artisan breads and cakes. Live band for the shows in a state of the art theater. No smoking in the casino or anywhere in the interior. High tech cabin with a huge TV. One of the very best ships out there as I have done 72 cruises.

This was just a getaway cruise. We've spent most of the time on the ship because we've been to all of these ports before. Being on the ship was just what we needed and Celebrity really outdid herself. Love the Edge class ships.

The beyond is beautiful. The ship alone will make your cruise a 10/10. Though some things need work- they don’t take away from your overall experience.

Do not miss the opportunity to dine at Eden - outstanding!

The best in the Celebrity fleet at this time. Outshines Edge and Apex. Service was superb. I don’t think the food is at the same level as experienced prior to Covid (menus are weaker). But I believe that’s probably across lines and ships. I would sail Beyond again and look forward to Ascent. Footnote: If you want a real balcony room on an Edge class ship, you have to book a suite. All other outside rooms use what’s called an infinite veranda which encloses and integrates the balcony area into the room. Instead of an open space, the window can be opened to the outside. As someone who’s used to balconies, I would not book an infinite veranda. On Edge class we’ll bite the bullet and book a Sky Suite.

The ship is beyond magnificent. Food and Beverage needs to work out the kinks. Luigi is outstanding as cruise director. The theatre productions are very well done.
