A great trip on a great Ship. The crew was very nice and helped make the trip memorable. The ABC island this time of the year were very hot so provided a great time at the beach and the pool.
Celebrity Beyond Cruise Review to Panama Canal, Central America
The Beyond and her sister ships provide everything you would want on a cruise. If you like a balcony, you need to get the few rooms with a real balcony. The infinite balcony is noise, if you open the window it stop the air condition, and with the weather at 90 degrees and 90% humidity, you can imagen. Bottom line it is not a balcony. Maybe useful for Alaska cruises were it may be too cold to use the balcony.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Embarkation was extremely quickly and face recognition helps speed up the process.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Since we travel in the Aqua Class, we had access to a specialty restaurant designated to the class and 4 additional restaurants that are considered specialty. The food overall was very good and the service in most of the restaurants were fantastic.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
we used the spa that was included with our class. Very relaxing. We also did a couple massage that was fantastic.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The shows were very good, specially a couple that Hayden & Alexa.
Children's Programs
I believe there were only 3 kids/young adults in this cruise.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
For the most part the staff was excellent.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Build a couple of years ago, the ship is fantastic. The captain, the first American female captain of a major ship, provides a great deal of information on her instangram.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Cabin was very nice. I did not like the infinity balcony concept and I thing that Celebrity should review the concept. It is not a real balcony and it does not provide much additional space to the room.
Ship tip
Information about the programs are not well described when you are purchasing the trip. Example the standard drink package is great for someone that drinks basic beer, wine and straight mix drink such as rum and coke or gin and tonic. If you want anything more, you need the premier drink package. Same apply to the internet. The basic package provides access to text only and not always available.
Crossing the new locks in the Panama Canal was fun and something that I am glad I was able to experience. We did not take any tours and the comments after the folks returned were very negative. We had 2-3 medical emergencies on the tours.
disappointed. The area around the port was dirty and the shops were selling primarily items made in China. We did take a sunset cruise that was fantastic. The weather cooperated and we made wonderful memories.
Bonaire was great. You could go swimming in the ocean right outside the ship. The captain took an early morning swim and had several dolphins join her in her swim. Of the 3 island the one I would return and stay in a hotel.
Thanks for sharing your cruise experience with us and including the details of what you enjoyed. We're trying out this type of room in June. Thanks for your thoughts.
On The Beyond in September in the Mediterranean and next month in the Caribbean. The new “balcony “ is different but you do get a little more room and makes the room pitch black in the mornings. My choice would still be the traditional balcony but the new ones are very private.
Appreciate your detailed feedback. Glad you enjoyed your cruise. We are scheduled to visit Bonaire January 2025. Thanks for your comments on that port.
