Review summary

The ship is very clean and the crew is friendly. The shows were very good. The food was terribly poor. The selection was minimal. It reminded me of a cheap roadside buffet. The grease on our clothes and food I mentioned was disgusting and damaging to our clothes.

We traveled with another couple and decided on this cruise based on word of mouth and an available cruise date that worked for the 4 of us. For the most part, the ship is extremely clean and the staff is fantastic. We had 2 major issues.Our first issue was the limited selection at the buffet and most dishes were Indian based due to the head chef being Indian.We mentioned our disappointment in the buffet to the restaurant manager and were informed the boat only had just over 2,200 guests but the ship can accommodate over 3,600 so they were cutting back to save money. Our second issue was the exhaust. We usually sat outside near the pizza counter at the back of the ship. We thought it was starting to rain because we felt drops of what we thought were rain. The next day we experienced the same thing, but realized there was moisture from the exhaust landing on our table, chairs and food. This answered the question of "what are all these black spots on our clothes the previous day?" It got worse and we started seeing black spots on everything. Some of these were about 1/4" in diameter and about 1/16" to 1/8" tall. When I touched one it smeared like grease. I have photos and videos if anybody needs to see this as I wouldn't believe it myself. After mentioning it to the staff and moving to a table under the awning, we continued to point it out to the other guests as the are wasn't roped off. I was shocked they wouldn't rope off a dirty and potentially unhealthy dining area, but they would rope off the half of the buffet that wasn't open.
