Review summary

This is the first cruise where we were unhappy with meals in the Luminae. While the service was outstanding, the food left much to be desired. Lamb chops were inedible; short ribs were mostly large pieces of fat. breakfast and lunch menus didn't change and wasn't a great selection. had a fabulous lunch in the Cosmopolitan - should have eaten more meals there.

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
We ate in Luminae for most meals and we were not thrilled with the limited menus and quality of food. The breakfast and lunch menus didn't change. Service in Luminae was excellent. We had a wonderful lunch in the Cosmopolitan and we should have had more meals there. The drinks, Mudslides, Aperol Spritz, Iced Lavender Haze were fabulous. My cosmopolitan and my husband's vodka at the Martini Bar were warm and tasteless.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The Luminae staff was wonderful. Our butler showed up twice. Sanjay, our cabin attendant, was superb and hard working and friendly. The Retreat Lounge staff was excellent.

Ship Quality

I wish that there were some sky suites with just showers. At a certain age, it's quite difficult to get into the shower/tub fixture. Not always safe to hold onto glass door to enter and exit.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was fine and the bathroom was roomy. other than some issues with getting into tub/shower and trying to work the shower faucets, it was ok.

Ship tip

remember all your travel documents. if possible, schedule the valet luggage. This was a great perk when it was included with sky suites. now there's a fee.
