If you don't get a suite or above, and if you don't have the dining/drink package, you don't get to experience some of the extras. Purchasing items onboard are very expensive. If you seriously want to enjoy your cruise, save enough money so you can freely purchase and enjoy yourself! This was my first experience on Celebrity, and I wasn't impressed. A lot of things were not explained clearly, and we weren't able to enjoy the full benefits of this cruise. We will go back to our favored cruise line.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Embarkation was quick and efficient
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
The aesthetics were beautiful, but the food was standard. We were only able to dine at one specialty restaurant, and the food was exceptional.
Onboard Activities

The fitness center was fine. Some equipment I'm used to was not included in the fitness center. The pools were crowded, but that's to be expected.
Entertainment

Disappointing!
Children's Programs
I have no children
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
The waiters were very personable. Room steward was okay. He wasn't able to help us with the TV problem as recommended by the ISD, so we solicited help again from the Internet Service Desk. Ship personnel for the most part just walked past us, although some did smile and say hello.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
It was hard to navigate throughout the ship, especially trying to find the fitness center. It was so confusing.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
It was roomy. I'm a clean freak so there were areas of concern. I pretty much clean with disinfectant wipes wherever necessary.
I'm pretty sure if you get a suite stateroom or higher you get the premium package included plus pending on how high of a suite you get unlimited specialty restaurants
Your experience is pretty much opposite of how I felt in the Apex. Crew members, especially the officers, were extremely friendly. They would always say hello and often chat with you when walking around the ship. Really unclear though what the issue is with the drinks package. Everyone charges for it, and drinks are expensive on every cruise ship. It’s also very unlikely Celebrity had any control over when you disembarked. When that starts is up to Customs.
Thanks for sharing. Your recommendation of saving up for extras falls on deaf ears. I'll use my extra money to fly instead of driving 16 hours from the port.
