Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The Eden a specialty restaurant that no longer has a show, now has a better menu and better food. Each restaurant in the main dining offered excellent selections for each course. The food was delicious and better than ever.

Normandie Restaurant

5 out of 5

The service here was the best because of our waiter Johnny. Loved the French options for each course.

Cyprus Restaurant

4 out of 5

The Greek dishes offered were very tasty.

Eden Restaurant

5 out of 5

The food was fabulous. I had the lobster entree which was a whole lobster out of the shell. The waiter explained our dishes and was very personable. The chef came to our table to talk to us and ask how we enjoyed our meal.

The Sunset Bar

5 out of 5

Beautiful outdoor bar at the back of the ship. Drinks were very good. Great way to see the sunset. Comfortable seating.

Mast Grill

4 out of 5

The burger was very good but they should also offer grilled chicken sandwiches v

Eden Bar

5 out of 5

There are many comfortable seats. There is usually live music being performed nightly.

Cosmopolitan Restaurant

5 out of 5

We had breakfast here everyday and dinner here once. The service was excellent and a good selection of food.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We basically sat by the pool and watched the activities.

Casino

5 out of 5

There are plenty of slot machines. The casino didn’t allow smoking which was a big plus.

The Theatre

5 out of 5

The theater is unique with the stage jutting out. The scenery and technology is more advanced than other cruise ships’ theaters.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The ship’s musicians were fabulous. The comedian and some production shows were very entertaining. Great cruise director, Giuseppe.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff in the restaurants and our cabin attendant were great. They were very happy to have guests on board.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The Apex is like the Edge except the artwork is different. Love the design of the Apex. It’s spacious and different. The ship was very clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin is larger than most cabins with a balcony. The bathroom is a bit roomier with a shower that offers ample room. There are hidden shelves and plenty of space for clothes and storing stuff. The cabin was always clean and neat v

Ship tip

You have to try this class of ship which will win you over.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

The port has some things to see and do. Been here a few times so didn’t take a tour.

Belize City, Belize

A tour is a must especially to the ruins.

Cozumel, Mexico

3 out of 5
We’ve also been here many times so just walked around this time. Took a tour in the past and was disappointed as there wasn’t much to see.

Nassau, Bahamas

3 out of 5
Also been here so many times that we just walked on Bay Street and visited the shops.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
It took awhile for our luggage to be ready as we were the first group off. Some of the embarkation staff in the terminal could have been nicer. They acted like army generals.
