Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our cruise. A few small things would make it exceptional (more hooks and different port location for Santorini) but the staff and crew were fantastic. We felt very pampered and safe!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Very smooth and coordinated!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Food was very good. Large variety and the included restaurants were lovely.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We enjoyed the pool, the solarium was our favorite spot to relax. The spa was top notch as well.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The entertainment was excellent but it got repetitive after a few nights (theatre, then club). Perhaps there was a limitation due to the amount of passengers. Shows were top notch, again, just needed a better variety at the disco/club.
Children's Programs
Did not travel with children.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Brenda, our room steward was incredible helpful and cheery. Waiters were very attentive and overall service was outstanding.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
I felt very safe, the ship and all bathrooms etc. were very clean and the staff was very warm welcoming. Ship design was easy to navigate. The only draw back being the casino and having to walk through it every time to get to the elevators (or walk around).
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Size was good but really really need more hooks. Hanging towels and bathing suits (for drying) was a real issue. Was also disappointed we did not have an actual balcony. I don't think the marketing for the room was clear in that the floor to ceiling window didn't open. I assumed it was a sliding door that could be opened.
Ship tip
Get more info on ports of call. There's limited info shared on the ship, especially hours at dock. The concierge desk left messages which was helpful. For example, getting off at Santorini either meant a cable car, walking or a donkey! There was also very limited ship announcements and when they did speak, it was hard to hear/understand.
We loved the Delos excursion but was disappointed we could not embark without a tour to further explore. Spending the day looking at it from the ship wasn't the greatest. We tried to join a last minute walking tour but they were quickly sold out.
We went to a beach which was wonderful and then came back and toured the town on our own. Felt like this was really the best of both worlds. The marketplace was amazing and welcoming along with clean--there was a lot to see and do and would recommend.
By far our favorite! Went to a beach and then toured Old Town. Really enjoyed walking around (even with all those steps), the beautiful sites and local cuisine. This stop really had the best of both worlds and will definitely visit there again.
We heard so much about how great Santorini was but were unfortunately disappointed. The location of the port felt like we were coming in the back door. The locals were not helpful or welcoming, it smelled, I presume from the Donkeys and was dirty. The best part of the island Oia was not easy to get too and the tours offered did not align with Rhodes or Croatia and were very expensive. This was the absolute worst port of call and put a damper on our experience overall. We ended up going back to the ship early.
