Review summary

We really enjoyed the itinerary and the ship and can't wait for our next trip. As great as the port was to navigate, we will avoid Orlando airport until they improve their operations as it was the biggest challenge of the entire trip.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Port Canaveral is one of the easiest/fastest embarkation ports we have been to

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We ate in the dining room most nights - The service was excellent, the food was very good, but could have been hotter. Bonsai Sushi was wonderful! Buffet had similar menu to the dining room but was crowded

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Most time was using the pool (nice) or hot tub (both on the aft Lido were not hot, almost no bubbles). We went to dive-in movie twice, Gardians of the Galaxy was one I really wanted to see. With about 15 minutes left to go, the movie ended abruptly and switched to other programming. Many viewers complained, it appeared higher-ups came into the area, but nothing was done to remedy the issue.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The musicians were very good. We went to one comedy show which was just ok.

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
We travelled with two of our granddaughters, 18 months and 6 years. The 6 year old had a wonderful time with the pools, water works, slides, splash pad and camp ocean. We were very disappointed the 18 month old could not take part in any of these activities.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Nearly everyone was fabulous, attentive, and smiling.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
It's nearly an exact copy of the Horizon, so we got around very easily. All areas were clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was very nice, though it seemed to have less storage than usual. Also, the change over to hangars without the hook top meant we couldn't use them to hang multiple bathing suits in the bathroom to dry. The night light under the closets was nice to have.

Ship tip

Kick back and enjoy!

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

5 out of 5
No excursions, just very easy to get from your transportation through to the ship. One of the fastest embarkations we've had at 30 minutes from dropping luggage to toasting with our first drink!

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

5 out of 5
No excursions. We wanted to go into town, but had multiple people give us conflicting directions for a taxi so we stayed in the port area.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

5 out of 5
We love St. Thomas!

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
We walked around San Juan and enjoyed the warm weather.

Grand Turk Island

5 out of 5
Not much to do here, unless you book an excursion. We went to Margaritaville and enjoyed the ocean view.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
By far the easiest disembarkation in 16 cruises!
