This cruise was a perfect mix of doing things and relaxing. We loved Carnival Vista! I would definitely sail on her again. The crew were among the best we've ever encountered. The food was really good. Very happy cruiser!
Embarkation

Very easy! Not a long wait. May be the fastest embarkation for us yet.

Food and Dining

Everything I had in the MDR was great with the exception of the prime rib which was tough--and this is the third time I've encountered tough prime rib on a cruise. JiJi and Cucina were amazing. The Seafood Shack was very good. Blue Iguana--I had the best shrimp burrito I've ever had! I can't wait for my next cruise to have another! Guy's Burgers and BBQ were very good, as usual. My Frappe and Latte from JavaBlue were sooo good! We don't drink alcoholic beverages, so I can't review any of the bars.
Onboard Activities

We didn't participate in any of the activities, but there were many fun things offered. We do enjoy picking up the daily puzzles from JavaBlue. The poolside entertainment was very good--Steel Drums with Caribbean Spirit.
Entertainment

We didn't attend any of the stage shows this time, but we really enjoyed Accidental Strings Trio in the Atrium and Caribbean Spirit poolside.
Service and Staff

We were very impressed with the level of service we received! Every crew member we interacted with was gracious, friendly, and made us feel very welcome. They were very efficient and hard workers, too.
Ship Quality

Carnival Vista is a very pretty ship--I love the changing funnel display in the atrium! It was easy to navigate once we learned how to avoid the casino. Vista is a good size and was very clean and well-maintained. The only problem we encountered was when our balcony door wouldn't close all the way. Maintenance got it fixed quickly, so not a real issue.
Cabin / Stateroom

The size was great. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We enjoy having a sofa to sit on and for extra storage. We were very pleased.
We didn't book an excursion, so we walked a little around the port area and then bought a ticket for the Skyride up to Paradise Point. It was worth the wait! The views from up there are amazing. There are also some gift shops and a restaurant at the top. After the ride we walked back to the ship.
We had only done excursions on previous visits, so this time we wanted to walk around the wall and see what we could see. That turned out to be one of my favorite things to do ever! There are little park areas along the walk so you can rest when you need to. We got to see lots of cats as we walked, too. The views are amazing. We had previously toured both of the fortresses and enjoyed that very much, but I enjoyed this walk just as much!
