Highly recommend the vista and the havana area. Great ship and ports!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We had a 10am embarkation and there were a lot of people there. We assumed some came early but they checked your time at the door so I guess that is just how many they allow per time slot. You have to wait outside until they open the doors to check in. They opened promptly at 10 and after that things went fast. We were in the lounge by 10 and they started boarding at 11:15.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
We get tired after the same things all week (hamburgers, tacos, buffet) but I will say that any time we had lasagna it was amazing!
Havana Bar

The havana bar and the team there is amazing. Roger took care of us from day 1 and really took our trip to another level of pampering!

They need staff that are better at welcoming and organizing teen activities
Circle C
2 out of 5
I'm not sure what was going on this week. Perhaps the regular team members were quarantined? It seemed like there were not any team members that were experienced with teens. There was no one there to welcome teens coming into the club at the start of activities. It seemed very disorganized.
Service and Staff

Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Staff was always cleaning. They had staff at every elevator and buffet making sure people were wearing masks. I wish they would copy ncl making sure people sanitized their hands on entrance to buffet. Ship layout was easy to navigate.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We really enjoyed the havana cabana suite. The couch made a comfortable bed for our daughter. Right now with covid they only service the room once a day which means the couch is always a bed and that makes the cabin vanity a little tight. There are lots of activities in the havana bar (karaoke) and ocean plaza (trivia and dance classes) so we found it a very convenient place to have a room.
Galveston is a great little town. Book the harbor house the night before so that you can walk to all the shops and then walk over to the cruise the morning you leave.
We were delayed 4 hours due to fog. I do not recommend booking a flight before 4pm. However we found the disembarkation itself fairly simple. We carried off our own luggage.
