A great cruise with some very interesting and varied ports. This was nicely balanced with the days at sea which gave a great chance to really explore the ship. Food and service on board were excellent and while I'd have liked more vegetarian choices, what was available was very good. The inside cabin was perfect and had some of the best night's sleep ever!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
It was busy and we had to wait but it all seemed to flow and keep moving. Staff were very attentive and eager to help. We also had unusual passports and visas to show which took a little longer but this was well managed.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Excellent. I would say that the vegetarian choices were relatively limited and/or repetitive though. But the food was tasty, well presented and varied.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
There was a lot to do but sometimes things clashed. I didn't particularly care for the evening shows either, I've seen better in other similar venues (like hotels, I'm not comparing them to the West End!) Some activities also only had limited opening times which made it harder to participate, especially if we were getting off at all ports.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
As mentioned before, I thought the evening entertainment was not great. BUt other performers were good although I couldn't always get in to see them, it was so busy!
Children's Programs
Didn't travel with children
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Excellent in every way.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Everything was spotless and the design seemed very good, at least we didn't have issues.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
For an inside cabin, it was great! It was good size, there was space for everything and laid out well. No complaints.
Ship tip
Explore the ship - there are many areas that are quiet and ideal for sitting with a book, while others are better for sunbathing, or participating in games...
No excursion as we like to walk and get out of the "themed" areas for tourists. Walked for miles and saw lots of great, authentic, Mexican shops and restaurants. Spent some money on them too.
Outside of the port there is not much to do. We didn't do an excursion as we'd planned to just explore but there was nothing to explore. There weren't even any people about, it was all very strange. We came back to the ship as there wasn't much to do, and we would have liked to learn more about Belize.
No excursion again but wasn't required. The port had everything there including a beach. However we didn't get a "feel" for the real Honduras. The beach was very welcome though and all the shops were very good.
We had a delay but in my opinion this was handled well. It was a minor inconvenience to us as we didn't have scheduled onward travel but I could see that others were getting very tense for the continued delay. When we got off it was all very efficient too.
