Besides the poor layout of the ship, this cruise was amazing.
Embarkation

Fastest embarkation I’ve ever had.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Finally found Pig & Anchor on 5th day. Lol. It’s outside on deck 5, there are no signs. BBQ was great. Food in MDR is as expected, pretty good. If you like sushi, check out Bonsai. It has a very minimal cost but so worth it! Eat sea day brunch in MDR, much better than buffet. Personal recommendation is the 12 day French toast. Amazing!
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Tons of activities to do for all ages. Even if you don’t want to watch outside movie, you can grab a box of popcorn to eat while you walk around ship! Try everything, when else will you get to do all these things?
Entertainment
4 out of 5
80’s show in Liquid lounge and Atrium were awesome. Comedians were hilarious. Get to the Limelight lounge early and look for an unobstructed spot. Unfortunately more bad spots than good.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
All very nice. They all look very tired and overworked but a few standouts. You notice them right away as they are are super positive and happy. This was the first ship where I saw guests and staff interact with respect towards each other. We did leave from Texas 😉
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
Okay so I have read bad reviews about the design of the Vista. All are true. This doesn’t make for a bad cruise but a view disappointments. Decor in many hallways looked like crew member quarters. The atrium was only 3 stories and small, so events were tight and not grand like other ships. No real central gathering place for guests, but I guess that spread people out more. Bathrooms, awful. They are lime green (who picked this?) and only 2-3 stalls with 1 sink. Also they are not easily found.
Cabin / Stateroom

Clean always had a towel animal! Location was perfect. If you want to hang things on your door use a strong magnet, weak ones don’t hold.
Ship tip
If you need a quiet spot check out the library. No one really goes in there.
Been here so many times so we did the Dolphin Encounter. Amazing. You do not have to pay extra for swim with the dolphins or VIP.
The only difference is that The dolphin pulls you across the water while you hold onto it. Otherwise the whole experience is exactly the same. You get to touch the dolphin, kiss it and use hand movements to do tricks. Everyone is in the water for the exact same amount of time.
Cave tubing! If you have never done this you should definitely give it a try. Do not let the hour drive scare you off. The tour guide is amazing and gives you little known details about Belize as you drive through the countryside in a large air-conditioned bus.
Roatan was great. A nice walk to the free beach. Shaded pathway with benches and hammocks along the way. White sandy beach and clear blue water. Music playing and restaurants on the beach if you get hungry. They will also deliver food to your chair. The ship is close enough to go back for lunch as well.
We were delayed a little and line was long to get through customs but not horrible. Just listen to crew members and plan travel accordingly and you will be fine
I too had an issue with the Vista layout. On the Dream you can walk around the entire ship on Deck 5 anytime but on Vista u can only do this when they open up the Havana section which is private. Other than that I loved the Vista.
