Review summary
We weren't overly impressed with the Vista considering it's their newest and flagship boat in their fleet. Except for a couple of things like the Skyride and the IMAX once you were on the ship you could have felt like you were on one of the older ships. The carpet throughout the ship is already showing signs of wear and the flooring in the buffet areas was very slippery. The showroom was not well thought out. Too many obstructions. This was the second new ship we have been on, the first Carnival, and the Vista didn't compare to the Getaway from NCL. The Getaway had much more innovative things like large touch screens near all elevators to help navigate your way around. We did like the selection of ports except La Romana. Nothing to do there unless you signed up for one of the highly over priced excursions. I wish they would have more ships like the Legend. Now that ship has class and style. There was nothing that really set the Vista apart from some of the more recent ships in the Carnival fleet.
