Great Cruise!

Sail Date: July 04, 2010

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

Great ship but did not have tons of activities at night to do outside of the normal bars and dance club once we were done with dinner (we had late seating). Overall clean and friendly staff.

Pros: Ports of call

Cons: salt-water pool, expense of liquor

Recommends Carnival Victory? Yes!

Ship Quality
Size was large but a little dated. Got confused every time trying to find the Pacific Dining room for dinner
Food and Dining
Dinner was fantastic! Lunch always had a ton of choices. Breakfast same every day and was disappointed in that.
Nothing special about entertainment. We always really made our own so disappointted in that. The shows were never exceptional.
Cabin / Stateroom
Loved our balcony! Shower is tight and my husband is a tall guy so that was a little of a challenge.
Service and Staff
Loved our steward and waiter at dinner! The deck crew for drinks was always very attentive too
Basseterre, St. Kitts
Loved Frigate Bay Beach!! Would go back here in a heartbeat!
LOved the excursion we did! Wacky Rollers Safari Jeep tour with gorge swim! Beautiful island! Did not feel safe in town so did not poke around much
Castries, St. Lucia
Zip line adventure was amazing!!! Had so much fun! Did have higher expectations here so a little disappointed but need to check out other side of island.
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
Did not do too much here but beautiful scenery from boat and pushing off was spectacular site
Bridgetown, Barbados
Beach was pretty but the people selling you stuff were too much, never left us alone from jet ski guy to jewlery seller, etc. Overall, not a pretty city and not a beautiful site to push off from.
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
Loved this island and want to vacation here again as soon as possible!!! Very nice people, reaonsably priced and loved both the Dutch and French side but would probably stay in French side, seemed to have more of fun atmosphere and not just shops.
