Carnival is making changes at its not for the good. Portions are smaller and now they do not deliver the alcohol you buy to your state room the night before anymore now you have to get up early and wait in line in the mdr to pick up your alcohol and if you bought some on the ship and on port you get to wait in 2 lines. Not including beverage packages on there own island is ridiculous since we have paid for it. Providing only a shuttle to town in st Thomas and no return shuttle is just carnival being cheap and not caring about the customer it shows carnival cares more about profit over customer experience.

Drinks were all good. Food is subjective but in the MDR if it was not a steak or a pork chop it was way over cooked. Altho i found the meat in the buffet better cooked there was some pink to the meats.Steak house was amazing. As a person with shell fish allergies I found a couple of days that were really heavy on shellfish and I had little to choose from. Breakfast needs to be more variety its always the same.

The shows were OK to good. Most comedians were good there was two that there material I barely laughed thorough out there performance. Too much Trivia they need more then 7 or 8 different types of trivia each day.

Port is expensive. Carnival provided a shuttle to town where you get better deals but you had to find your own way back. I went to st Thomas jan 2023 on notwegian and they provided a shuttle to town and back
Beverage packages don't work on the island not enough seats fir everyone norwegian the beverage packages work on the islands. Even at the bars people put there stuff on the seats and left so you couldn't even sit at a bar and have a drink
the reason why the package doesn't work, is because carnival doesn't own that private island. carnival Corp does, however, it's actually Holland America's private island
Cybron3 sorry you got butt hurt from my review lol. No they don't deliver alcohol to stateroom the night before anymore atleast not on the venezia. We walked the beach there was none available. Maybe you are one of the carnival people that indulge in to much alcohol that yiu were seeing more chairs then there actually were. One thing you kind of got right our group will not sail carnival in the future as we find it's just not for us. So please do me a favor and keep sailing carnival. If norwegian can have the beverage packages included on their island surely carnival can. If norwegian can offer a shuttle to and from the town surely carnival can. Carnival is just being cheap this is just my opinion just like my review it's just my opinion. Your entitled to yours I'm entitled to mine deal with it.
Where to start...portions are small? You can order more than one...moot point. Alcohol is delivered to stateroom the night before. No idea what happened to you. Drinks package has never been in effect for half moon cay, just fill up a yeti the night before... half moon cay seats are available if you just walk down past the crowds. There should be no expectation to be provided free shuttles at all. There are cheap taxis and island tours all over st Thomas. Please sail on Viking in the future. .or do your research.
Maryred maybe if your platinum or diamond or maybe you were in the high end rooms it is different for yous but once I brought alcohol on ship I was giving a paper saying I had to pick it up In the MDR there were many of us at 6am on debarkation day lined up waiting to pick up our alcohol.
Very interesting review. As I was on the same cruise and my alcohol purchases (6 pcs;2 bottles bought on board, & 2 bottles plus 2 mini bottle sets bought in ports) were delivered to my cabin on the last night. Maybe it's because your not from the USA, what your over all quantity was, or you did the "self assist" Carry-Off debarkation. We're US citizens, w/a US address, and we did "relaxed" Checked Luggage debarkation. The protein portions for each MDR meal was about the same as Pre-Covid but the amount of the sides did seem slight. Also if upset about the Saint Thomas shopping shuttle that's provided by DI/TI not the cruise lines, all you had to do was ask a DI or TI salesperson if a ride back was available. Not sure where at the Grand Turk Cruise Center you swam but the only rocky areas are right along the pier for maybe 150 feet to either side then at the in-between before reaching Jack's Shack. Also Holland America Lines holds the direct lease to HMC, not Carnival Cruise Lines. Though toted as Carnival's private island that's referring to Carnival Corp being the parent company owning both lines (as well as 7 more) only HAL can use their drink packages.
