Review summary

Overall great cruise - love a Journeys as it goes to different places, also loved the great staff and entertainment on board. Ship was ok - would book again for the right itinerary which is why we booked it initially.

Embarkation

slow, not well organized, took a long time to finally board

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We did a LOT of the specialty restaurants and they were all great with excellent service - steakhouse, Il Viaggio, Bonsai Sushi and Teppanyaki. buffets were average but so many options we couldn't complain - Guys Burgers, Tomodoro, an Italian grill on sea days, dining room pasta bar on sea days and Chinese at the seafood shack on sea days!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
running track was longer than most - loved that, spa was great as well as serenity area, fit ness center a bit small but not to crowded

Entertainment

5 out of 5
All shows were amazing! Musicians and DJ's all great - the Venezia rock band was outstanding!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All service everywhere was great

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
cleanliness was good, layout was interesting - only thing we didnt love was the lido deck - it is very closed in(part of the Italian style) and the roof was closed on several days that made it stiflingly hot(people were calling it the free sauna treatment)

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
typical balcony cabin but shower actually had a DOOR, not a curtain!

Ports of call

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

touristy and American - not many great excursions

Roseau, Dominica

Absolutely beautiful under advertised island - called the garden isle of the Caribbean-people were great - we did a tour and hiked to waterfalls and swam in the rain forest, botanical gardens as well as sightseeing and shopping

Bridgetown, Barbados

4 out of 5
typical Caribbean - expensive and people bugging you to buy stuff

Castries, St. Lucia

took our own Taki and toured and shopped then did a short trip to the Pitons - driver was great - didnt feel ripped off-gorgeous place

Philipsburg, St. Maarten
