Review summary
Getting on and off the boat was easy and simple. The Cheers! package made everything so easy! Just remember the first day and room service are not included for any drinks, including bottled water/soda. My sister and I had a lot of fun in Cozumel doing the ATV ride with beach time. We forgot to bring a backpack in order to carry a change of clothing... but still had fun. Remember to bring $$ to use at the ports for money and clothes. We did spend $3.50 on shot glasses that were $1 upon returning to the ship, but so is life. We did not get off in Progresso because we had heard it was not worth it... Some of those who came back said they did not purchase an excursion but got off and was offered an all inclusive beach trip for $30 a person. They said it was great! Other than that, a lot of us had fun in the casino. Lots of winnings all around. We enjoyed the dance clubs, but wish they played a little more variety or took requests. In retrospect, we did not ask. The entertainment was soo much fun!! The Scary Chest contest was hilarious. There was always something to do for each and every persons tastes. Bring sea sickness medicine!!! Since it is hurricane season, the tickets were cheaper, but expect the boat to ROCK. Those who were taking their medicine regularly were fine. Dinning is either in the front or back of the boat where it rocks the hardest. I expected more from the food quality, being have been on a Royal Caribbean and Princess cruise line before. Chicken/salmon were dry. Had to pay $20 for a good steak or lobster that were tiny. The performers for the entirety of experience were pretty amateur and were the main hit for every big performance. I missed the VIP shows though. The comedians were FABULOUS! Sooo funny and witty. Went to every single "adult" show. I loved the service everywhere we went!! The housekeepers and waiters were so personable and thoughtful. They all called us by our names and knew our preferences. Drinks were made differently depending on where we were. Some not so well... You learned who was your favorite bartender like most places. TJ was great!!! Always good to hear his voice. I do think there were many mistakes with the Hasbro game though... sorry TJ :? glad the little boy won all of the games though. Lastly, I loved the photographers!!! They were so fun and good at their jobs. They recognized us and made it fun. The only person I did not care for was the blonde female who was helping us purchase at the end of the trip. She made us not want to purchase anything at all, did not give us ideas on good bundles, did not try to sell the product, just said take it or leave it with a straight face of annoyance. I am glad we purchased them though, they came out great! Wish I knew a little more about it all, would have purchased more. I do think that instead of printing all of the photos and displaying them all, there should be kiosks with the pictures to swipe through and choose to make it easier on everyone. This is how Royal Caribbean does it and I really enjoyed it. There were staff manning the kiosks of course to prevent phone pictures and such. Thank you all again!! It was a great trip. I have dubbed the Carnival ships perfect for party people.Embarkation
