Review summary

It is so confusing to get around on the Carnival Ships because the elevators go to various parts of the ship and they all look alike.  If they would just label the banks of elevators such as A, B, C etc.  I would always looks for that group.   SO SIMPLE.  I was quite frustrated when I couldn't get  where I wanted to go.

Just on Valor 2 weeks ago. We didn't have any trouble with the elevators. We even used them to get to 0 for the ports. Great time!

Yes, it is not so hard.

If it takes you longer than 2 days to learn how to get around..... You may need to find some common sense

It shouldn't take you more than 2 days to figure out a ship's layout. Only 2 things to keep in mind is how to reach deck 0 and dinning rooms. Also every elevator tells you where you are and use it as a reference, plus, in the lobby deck, in guest service, there ia always a small map of the ship's layout that guests can pick up at anytime. And if you are that lost, ask a crew member. Too easy!

The only deck there is a problem is the dining deck where they have the kitchen between the two dinning rooms, obviously they can't let you walk through there.

Been on her twice and never had a problem with the elevators. They go up...they go down, all three sets of them.

Well, stay off the Oasis of the seas, you will be lost the whole cruise. Lol

I agree with you maryannhornak. This was our first cruise so maybe it was that we were newbies but we were constantly trying to find our way around on the Valor. We would take the elevator to the floor we needed to go to then end up having to go up 2 flights of stairs and around then back down...very confusing. The signage on the ship didn't help much either.

Three sets, one at each end and one in the middle. How is that confusing?

I have looked at the Deckplans, and the elevators looks a straight forvard thing, the forvard and midship goes all the way, and the aft about half way, i fail to se a lot, if any confusion, looks the same layout as on most other ships, so if you have cruised before, i can't see a problem, it is somthing that is easy to get familliar with.

A three-star rating because of your confusion with the elevators? How was the rest of your cruise?
