Review summary

I would never do another Carnival cruise not because of the line but because it isn't what I look for in a cruise. Carnival's main drawing seems to be the loud party goers and that doesn't fit into why I cruise. The non stop party, noise level, and people on board were to much for me. I've traveled several times aboard Holland American and find they fit me much better. The service, food, and suite were good but the whole experience was unpleasant to me. I did enjoy my on shore times but that was about it. Even the evening meals were loud and annoying with shouting being required to have a conversation with your table mates. Never again!

That's why there is more than one cruise line. Something for everyone. You know Carnival isn't for you, that means there is more room for the rest of us who love the party of Carnival.

you can always spend your time at the presentations where they talk about watches history, the paintings, maybe the cupcake lessons, and if u want to get hardcore, there ia the piano bar

Carnival is a very energenic cruise line designed for people of all ages to have fun. The ship is so much alive with fun things to do. It surprises me that you were not aware of this. I would stick to Holland America if that is what you are used to.

went on Valor last May and it was not noisy. we try to go when it is not spring break or summer so it is more relaxing. the crew and other passengers were great especially after I got hurt on an excursion and had difficulty walking. A complete stranger helped me to my room. except for getting hurt and the clinic staff being a little rude the cruise was great. going on fascination this April. hope to have as good of a cruise as last year.

I did Holland America to go to the Panama canal s few years ago and I won't use them again because I found ship time to be very boring. There were a lot of older folk (which includes me) on the ship and it is the perfect line for the person that doesn't want to be bothered. I am used to Carnival and that is what I will continue to use.
