Cruising over New year's is interesting due to the excitement on crew and passenger's part.  The port of Costa Maya was cancelled due to weather/ wave condition.  I think Caymans would be a better port.  The service was terrific, our restaurant waiter was spectacular.   My only compliant was the receiving of receipts.  You had to ask the waiter after each drink was served.  That is a change from all the other cruises I have been on.  Also, i had trouble w/ AT&T having reception, even in Port Canaveral.  Check this out before you cruise to confirm you have the service  you need.

Cabin / Stateroom Good service.
