We would do it again with some different caveats to the port of call.

Just got off the ship and it was Great we’ll needed food and staff was fantastic! I do recommend! Plenty of things to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had a good cruise but our friends are not interested in cruising again. Perhaps have a separate line for beer, as fancy drinks take so much time to make and you end up waiting for long periods of time.

It was our first. We enjoyed it so much. We meet so many new friends. The staff was friendly ready to please you. Hated for it to end.

I love to cruise but I wouldn't go on this ship again. It just seemed way to crowded! Not enough room for the amount of people that it holds. Casino and pool area was always full.

This was a fun, relaxing, much needed family vacation.

Loved it so much I cried the day we had to leave! It was the most amazing vacation we ever had!!!! Booked the next day for another Carnival cruise we can't wait!!!

Just got back from sailing the Sunshine. It is an older ship but it was very clean. The crew was awesome! The food was good, but could have been hotter. Occasionally you could smell some bad smells, but it never lasted long. Had a great time!

My first cruise with Carnival and I loved this ship! ROOM- we had a midship interior room on Deck 6. Enough room for 2 people but would be tight quarters if more. The shower was roomy with good water pressure. Lots of closet space but I would suggest bringing a few hangers from home. There was no mini fridge which was surprising. FOOD- The specialty restaurants were all very, very good. So was breakfast and dinners in the Sunset Dining Room. Guys Burgers *drool*, so delicious! My mother and I were invited to the galleys to meet with the chef and enjoyed tasting several dishes - a highlight of our trip! I was not blown away by the buffet at all, it was edible but really not many choices and if you have short arms, may find it difficult to reach items in the back. The buffet is the reason I gave 4 stars. ENTERTAINMENT- The shows in the Limelight were fantastic, especially The Rock show. Bingo was fun ( I won $150) and so was the Casino ( I won $400). The entertainment staff are fun, personable and know how to encourage people to get involved! I really enjoyed the Dive-In Movies, a lounge chair, blanket and popcorn made for a couple of enjoyable nights under the stars. We were not travelling with children so have nothing to say about the waterpark or arcade. SERENITY DECKS- I LOVED this - comfy loungers, couches, hammocks and clamshell chairs! The waterfall pool and hot tub were so nice. A long wait for elevators sometimes so a little frustrating for those who cannot just use the stairs. CRUISE DIRECTOR- I had to give Mikey his own heading because I really believe that he is single handedly the heart and soul of this ship! From the first night he engaged with everybody, dancing on the lobby bar and had the whole ship singing " We Will Rock You" by Queen. It was almost magical! ITINERARY- St. Kitts, Puerto Rico, Grand Turk and St. Marten (our excursion here was cancelled so unable to see much except the port).

As our first cruise it was awesome this was also our honeymoon! We will definitely be booking again!

It's an older ship but we enjoyed it mikey the cruise director was good an nikki the bingo pixy was awesome..spa was a good experience overall it was clean food was good I ate from the deli mostly they have veggie burgers

Overall had a good time. Not my favorite ship or crew experience. Loved all ports and excursions. Had a large group with a few that were first timers that loved their experience but wished the ship was nicer.

Good time with family. Enjoyed the variety and peace and quiet.

After 8 cruises, 4 on Carnival, the Sunshine was the worst. The Grand Suite shower head was so low that my wife and myself (5 ft. 10") had to bend downwards or backwards 5" to wash our hair, the vanity drain pipes would gurgle so loud at night, it would wake us up and the outside balcony glass was so dirty that we couldn't see the view when sitting down. Although they cleaned the balcony glass twice, they would never clean the top 4 inches which is where you look when sitting down. The food was atrocious at the breakfast and lunch buffets, never a change of menus over 8 days. We ended up eating three nights at the Sushi Restaurant which was reasonably priced and very good. Service was the worst I have ever experienced. Staff were rude, room service also as they mixed our order up 4 nights out of 8. Finally one of the room service staff said we never checked coffee on the ticket, an impossibility, and he said to my wife " We can only see what we see, enjoy!!" At other times in the Casino Bar on the 5th day, I brought my wife and my drink package tickets to the bartender and he refused to give me more than one drink because my wife was not present with me. I explained that my wife was playing a slot matching and he simply said "No you get one drink! Never before at any of the other bars did that happen. Entertainment was the worst of any Carnival ship I have ever been on, no DJ or band at the mainpool area, the jumbo screen just played reruns of "Wake Up with Mikey" and the few bands that were in the lounges were C bands at best, no Reggae, no rock and roll, no hip hop, just trivia and beer pong. The worst of all was deparkation, Grand Suites are supposed to get VIP deparkation which we did until the home port in Canaveral. The ship was supposed to disembark at 8:00 AM. They didnt clear customs until 10:15 and they mixed all the Platinum, Silver, Suite and those that had to catch planes together making it about a 1/4 of the passengers. We stood in a hallway for two hours, then walked all the way forward to arrive at only 2 elevators which took us to the deck where the rest of the ship was departing at the same time. We were finally through customs 45 minutes to an hour later and in our car at 11:30. Some people paid extra for the same priority boarding and I guarantee most of the airline paasengers had to rebook and or stay the night as they missed their flights. Believe it or not I am not an overly demanding or critical passenger, but this ship needs a complete staff retraining or overhaul. Ken Ammon

Fun ship but has a weird layout you may often find yourself at a dead end. Staff was very friendly and comical also which was entertaining. Food quality was also great.

Just got home yesterday from our 8 day. We loved our cruise. Staff was great and always cleaning. We got a suite this time and loved it. Easy on but, not so much getting off, too many people trying to get off with the early birds and causing chaos for everybody else. Mikey was Great! Room steward was great! Coffee was HORRIBLE but, they do have a specialty coffee shop and it taste way better. Suites are nice. There is always, something to do on this ship at all times. Food could be better. We were on Sunshine back in 2015 and food and coffee was great then. I appreciate the hard working staff. We were in charge of our good times and we enjoyed our cruise. We stayed in Room #7225 and loved it.

Had fun. Crew was great. Loved our cabin and enjoyed the Sunshine very much. Would sail here again without hesitation.

This was our second Carnival cruise. We weren't all that impressed with the Carnival Elation, but the Sunshine was a blast. I would be happy cruising on the Sunshine every time! We enjoyed the entire vacation. The service staff was incredible!

Carnival Sunshine is a beautiful ship. The ports of call were amazing. The CD Mikey was awesome. I enjoyed my 9th cruise very much.
