Carnival Sunshine is a beautiful ship. The ports of call were amazing. The CD Mikey was awesome. I enjoyed my 9th cruise very much.

Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Our dining room was Sunset. It was ok. Nothing exciting about it. The food was mediocre. Guys was good. Blue Iguana was ok. The Pasta Bar was delicious.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
I went to one PG comedy show. The show wasn’t that funny. I did trivia which was fun. I went to the Lido parties which were fun. The activities were fun.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
We only saw one stage show Latin Nights and it was really good. The musicians/DJs and other performers were very good. I would like for there to be more R&B and Hip Hop to be played.
Children's Programs
4 out of 5
My daughter is 12 and she went to a few Circle C activities, but not a majority of them. She was old enough to check herself in and out of the club.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
The service received from the waiters in the dining room was ok. The service from the room steward was ok. The other ship personnel was good. The Cruise Director Mikey was great.
Ship Quality

The workers were constantly cleaning. The Sunrise dining room layout was a little strange. The Limelight Longe and the Liquid Lounges were small, but the rest of the layout was fine to me.
Cabin / Stateroom

The comfort and size of our room was good. Our room wasn’t cleaned enough, but my husband, daughter and I were always in the room sleeping at the times when steward tried to clean. It wasn’t the stewards fault. It did take him a long time to come back to our room and clean when he did speak with us about coming back.
Port Canaveral was great. We did not do an excursion. I only live less than two hours away so I didn’t feel the need to do an excursion. We went to Cocoa Beach and killed time until our check-in time.
Grand Turk was great. Better than my first visit there. We rented a poolside cabana at Margaritaville and then rented an ATV and a dune buggy for a 1 hour private tour. The ATV and dune buggy was booked as an excursion through Carnival.
San Juan was great. Better than my first visit there. We went to Cristobal fortress and went to EL Yunque Rainforest. Excursion booked through Carnival.
