Review summary

I have gone on several Carnival cruises and this one was the worst. The Sunshine needs repairs and a good cleanng. We paid for an ocean view but the windows were so dirty we couldn't enjoy the view. The windows all over the ship were dirty and needed cleaning. The curtains in our room were full of holes and so we couldn't sleep after sunrise. The carpets in the hallway were dirty and tattered. There was a lightswitch leaking water in the hallway outside our room and it took two days to get it fixed. My daughter had given me a birthday dinner in Farenheit 555 and it was a 70.00 disappointing meal. The escargots were in some kind of pastry, my lobster tail was tough with no taste, my husband's steak was not cooked medium and his cheesecake was very dry - very disappointing.

The meals in the dining room were fair. On a good note the meals we paid for at JiJi's were excellent - taste and presentation superb. The ship was dirty and no place to sit and relax. The Limelight Lounge was very small for 3,000 people. I am going to take a break from Carnival.

Just got off the Sunshine this morning. Second time on this ship. First time was November 2014. Was completely different. Was not a fan of the new American dining menu. Compared to last few cruises not as much variety, and not very good experience in the dining room. Most of the dining at night was very unorganized, and staff didn't seem to work well together. All but 2 nights there was something being dropped in the kitchen. Not just one or 2 plates, trays full, glass went everywhere. Ship was not as clean as the 1st time. Had a lot of areas that smelled like sewage. Staff didn't seem as friendly or outgoing as the last time we were on this ship. People in general were rude, which I know is not Carnivals fault. I will say Carnival did begin to tag chairs with stickers, and if they came back around and stickers were still there and chairs were not occupied they would remove towels or belongings so someone else could use them. Only thing I would say made this trip nice would be the casino going above and beyond.

I just got off the Sunshine, very mixed feelings about this trip. If you'd like details of the problems, that were NOT taken care of by Carnival, send me a message. I don't like to be a negative person, but there was a lot of issues, and I heard many others commenting on the same issues. Disappointed :( I think if people are complaining/commenting they have a right to let people know what they experienced, just like those whom are bragging about a great time

You just like complaining online. If you paid extra for the meal and it was unsatisfactory, SEND IT BACK. Duh. Take a look at yourself and ask why don't you do something about it? Stop the bitching.

We just got off the Sunshine this past April. We had a wonderful time! We had a room with a balcony. The ship was clean, in good shape and the food was great. No complaints here.

We're traveling with two, possibly 3 other couples and my best friend's family. We'll have my 6 year old, a 9 year old, and two 17 year olds. 12 of us altogether.

We just debarked from a 13 day cruise on Sunshine. It was vacation of a lifetime. Every day crew were cleaning the walls and baseboards in the halls. And running the vac!! Two times during the cruise they cleaned the outside balconies and Windows. TWO times!! We ARE on the ocean and salt water does splash. You gave an unfair rating of 2 stars in my opinion.

Going on the Sunshine May 30th and can't wait. This will be our second time on the Sunshine, first-time was great, the only complaint we had was getting around, but that was a minor thing. People don't listen to complainers, go experience the cruise for yourself.

Negatives! Doesn't stop us from cruising,we love it. We are going on the Sunshine for the second time. Can't wait. This is our 14th cruise all but one Carnival.

The decks would be better if carnival wouldn't let people claim chairs and then not use them. They say no saving but it is not enforced especially on the adult deck.

The Sunshine is our favorite ship. Sailed on it twice and had a great experience. You're on a cruise ship with 1000's of people. You need to expect lines and crowds. The rooms should be clean. Let your steward know so they can fix any issues. Have a drink and enjoy the sunshine. Pun intended. LOL.

People need to stop complaining so much about everything and just have fun... My past cruise I have been we're bigger than the sunshine but I still stood in line at the buffets, always had a hard time finding a seat on the lido deck but then I realized I have to get there early not late ... Enjoy your selfs people your on vacation .. Grab a drink and relax

We went on the sunshine in January of this year for 8 days and had a wonderful time. We found nothing wrong with this ship at all. Will sail on her again in the future .

We sailed the Sunshine this past September and we had a wonderful time, we almost missed out on the Sunshine because of all the negative reviews glad we decided on going. I will read all reviews, but taking into consideration that people complain about every little thing they are never content. We had a balcony and it was awesome so I say go and you will have a great time.

i went on the sunshine in2014 and the ship was clean and you could have went on the serenity deck for relaxing time can not wait until July.
