Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

It's hard to choose a favorite spot, the entire experience was eye opening,  historical, and beautiful.  Here's a view of Barcelona, the old with the new shows how diverse this city is and it was the beginning and end of a great adventure.

Cruise Photos

Ship Quality
Beautifully decorated, modern and not overly ornate.
Food and Dining
Not bad, but not as good as other cruises. Would have like to see the menu follow the iternery ie. French, Spanish, Italian
Cabin / Stateroom
One of the largest staterooms we've had in 8 cruises.
Service and Staff
Entertainment
Only 4 shows was disappointing.
Children's Programs Didn't use, don't care
Onboard Activities
We really didn't spend much time on the ship on this cruise so the activities were adequate.
Destinations and Excursions
This cruise was all about the destinations, it was a whirlwind tour of three countries!
Barcelona, Spain
Marseille (Provence), France
Monte Carlo, Monaco
Take a public bus to Nice. Only E1.5 each way and beautiful ride, Nice is a charming French town. My favorite day of the entire cruise.
Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy
Very crowded, we took a train to Florence but by the time we got there we really had to hurry to get back to the ship on time.
Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy
Something to see once, but ridiculously crowded.
Naples, Italy
Didn't have enough time to experience Naples as we headed out toward Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast, fabulous!
Messina, Sicily
Bad experience with "City Sightseeing Hop on/off Bus". DO NOT do this, it is a total rip off.
Palma De Mallorca, Balearic Islands
One of the best places of the entire cruise, totally unexpected. Don't miss Cathedral Mallorca, I thought this was better than St. Peter's Basillica and no crowds!

Tip

For best food outside of the dining room, head right on through the Lido buffet toward the Havanna club. The Asian and Italian stations were excellent. Also a great place to get omelettes or eggs cooked to order for breakfast.
