What a great time.  The island stop were awesome and the weather you could not ask for better weather.  We went on the Southern Caribbean last year and we had a great time as well.  This was more of a leisure trip time at the beaches.  If you do this make sure you do Megan's Bay in St. Thomas.  We never took on excursion, we just took a local taxi and had the best time.  The Splendor was this was the last trip for it and it does need some updating.  Great time, great crew, would do it again.  

It was very nice even though the weather was at times bad.  It was fun and Clean and the Food was great.  The staff was very friendly.  the only thing I did not like was the odor in the halls.

We had a fun time on this ship.  The weather did not cooperate as hoped.  We can't blame the ship for the bad weather.  Deco needs updating and cushioned seating on the Lido deck food area is to low for the tables.  When ports are changed more info should be supplied.  More info listed below.

We missed one stop due to bad weather but overall had a great time, the staff was amazing! especially our waiter Vlodomir, very funny personable and knowledgeable, made every dinner a fun experience for all at the table!

The cruise was very nice. My wife and I were disappointed in the library facilities which were almost non existent. Our cabin stewardess, Pi, was excellent. Food was very good and plentiful. We encountered no problems throughout the entire voyage.

All you have to do is grab drink and relax under the warm sun!!! No cooking no cleaning!!!! Doesn't get any better then that! All the staff were really nice and welcoming. Not 1 worker walked by us without saying hello and how are we doing! One worker in particular stood out his name is "Yoga" he was out standing!!! Next cruise we go on we hope to see him again!!! 

Had fun scuba diving. Enjoyed the niceness of coming back to a nice place to relax. Almost like a dive excursion... You could dive in all four ports. 

Recommend for people like me ...Who love Scuba diving.

Carnival has improved it's image. Price equaled the experience !!!!

Overall, the cruise was great.  Unfortunately, there was 3 days of bad weather (which is not the ship's fault) and we could not get off the ship at Honduras.  

I was disappointed with no wet steam room.  The ship had steam showers that you had to stand up in and they were not hot enough.  They had a wet steam room, but I would have had to pay $300 extra to use it.  

The food, crew, entertainment, and hospitality was excellent!!!

I will recommend Carnival and book another cruise with them in the future!!!

The service was great on the ship. However our stateroom was directly above the casino. It sounded like the casino band was in our room. They played music past midnight so getting to sleep was impossible. Guest services was very stoic concerning our room. They apologized for it and said they  couldn't move us because the ship was full. They gave a $343.00 credit. Doesn't come close to what we spent to have a stateroom and a reasonable amount of sleep while on vacation. Very disappointed with how this was handled.

Having cruised with Carnival many times before, I have to say this was unfortunately the worst experience.

The ship smelled. Certain areas, especially the 4th floor, smelled like sewage. I heard many guest commenting on it.

The food at the buffet was only mediocre. When making salads, I avoided the cucumbers and radishes since they were not so fresh.

On the plus side, our cabin steward was very pleasant and attentive.

We sailed with our daughters and their families for a wonderful week full of memories. Great Service, Food, and Ports of Call. Nothing to complain about.

Your Time dining needs to be looked at. The use of beepers is cheesy, especially when there are empty tables! Thank goodness for Maja, who seemed to understand the plight of those who were waiting. Some of the others gave the impression they did not have customer service skills.

Ports of call were great! However, the service seemed subpar- maybe because it was winter break week and we had a packed ship. We waited over an hour for my time dining one evening and the waiters/waitresses while perfectly nice, were not as attentive as we're used to. Also, ship decor was down right tacky and ugly! Ship seems in need of a good dry dock soon. Lastly, the entertainment seemed pretty off- many overlapping activities and shows without adequate announcements and the shows were not very good. They even forced everyone out of the comedy club between each comedian ( I suppose to give others a chance at a seat in the small club) but it was quite annoying to get comfy, work up a laugh, then be asked to go outside and line up again! 

The good:  good itinerary as we had not been to D.R., St. Thomas or Grand Turk; we rented a car on St. Thomas and took some beautiful pictures on the drive; our balcony cabin was very comfortable and the room steward really good; love the serve-yourself ice cream on the Lido deck;; embarkation and disembarkation were both easy.  The bad:  bed was really uncomfortable so both of us woke up with backaches; a/c seemed to go off during the night even though we had thermostat all the way down; food was average, even in the dining room; service in the dining room was very slow for our table; excursion on D.R. was terrible, supposed to be Panoramic Tour of Puerto Plata, but we were taken to a plaza where music was playing so loud we couldn't hear our guide, then into a church where echo and staff talking loudly kept us from hearing our guide again, then he tried to lead us down a street to an amber store (one of our group was handicapped, and we had asked at the Excursions Desk if this tour had a lot of walking and were told it did not) but we declined and sat in the plaza for 20 minutes while waiting on the others to return; so nothing "panoramic" about the tour at all; only news on the TV was CNN.

The entire experience was fantastic! The steward taking care of our cabin could not have done a better job. My wife and I can not remember ever going to our cabin and it not being made up. We joked with Adrian (steward) about him never sleeping. The wait team we had took care of everything for us, Rody and her team were fantastic. The casino staff treated us like family, always referring to us by name while playing or simply passing them at some point on the ship. We enjoyed our cruise on the Splendor so much that we have already booked to go on the same ship in June. It will be different ports so different experiences but we know because of the crew of the Carnival Splendor, we will have a great cruise. 

The Splendor was very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful.  I liked the areas for adults only even if I spent all my shipboard time by the water slide pool with the grandkids.

The food was good,well presented and varied.  For those who like to eat 24/7 ,this was the cruise for you.  

I loved having ABC,CBS, and NBC available in my cabin...as well as movies under the stars any time I wanted.

We will book again.

This was our 3rd cruise, least favorite. Seas were rough, excursions canceled and Grand Turk stop was canceled (ended up delayed) because of rough water. Food was average, breakfast was not good. Shows weren't great but the piano bar was a lot of fun. The comedy club was pretty good. We booked an inside spa cabin, tried to upgrade once we saw it, couldn't.  Very small and with no port hole or window it seemed like a closet. We heard the Splendor is scheduled for update but not until we were onboard. Will try different cruise line, Princess cruise was much nicer.

Our 7 night Western Caribbean Cruise aboard Carnival Splendor was great!  We were a group of three ladies in the 50ish age range. The staff was friendly & helpful. Henry (Hairy) our bartender in the lobby bar was fantastic!! He is truly a knowledge & talented bartender. He can make the perfect drink for you! He turned an otherwise stop by bar into our neighborhood bar!!  The cheers package was well worth the money for two of our travelers. One had a doctors note explaining she could not have alcoholic drinks. They made us buy 3 packages & promised to remove charges from her account by the next two days. It took 2 days with constant requests & wasted fun time before bar manager properly handled the removal of the charge for our account. We have never experienced this before with Carnival. 

The dining staff was excellent. The food was good. The embarkation & port experiences were speedy & efficient. Fun things to do for Sea days & an overall great experience!  

we had a very nice cruise and appreciate it very much  The foods was OK but not like before like a few years ago.  The staff very polite and always in front of us

As always I had a wonderful time. The room was spotless and the service was excellent.  Angel was our cabin keeper and  he put a smile on our face every day with a nice greeting and ask if we needed anything.

 The Lido deck was great for breakfast and lunch and being in the fresh sea air was so nice. Love the big screen concerts in the mid morning and to relax could not be any better. 

 Dinner was in the Black Pearl . Fabulous food and wonderful waiters. My compliments to the chef. The shows were outstanding. Looking forward to another wonderful experience on Carnival this year     Josephine Zinno
