For years my husband wanted us to take a cruise together but I was scared. Finally I agreed to go and celebrate our february birthdays on a cruise. Now I am hooked! I really enjoyed myself and can't wait for the next one.

First time cruisers, we didn't know we could give our luggage to the porters so we carried our luggage around for a while. Lol

So many choices and places to eat. We signed up for your time dining because we didn't want to be locked in on a specific time.

Cabin / Stateroom

We had an ocean view cabin. I'm claustrophobic so I can never be in an inner cabin. Very clean, everyday housekeeping left a towel animal on our bed.
We signed up for the all inclusive excursion. All you can eat, all you can drink. You can relax on the beach and/or swim in the resorts' swimming pools. Everything was great except on the ride back. A mother and her son were really intoxicated and threw up on the bus. Strongly suggest drinking responsibly as a courtesy to others riding the same bus.
We went to the Welcome aboard meeting and won the camel ride excursion for two. Strongly recommend going because they raffle off several excursions, dinner for two, build a bear, etc.. The camel ride was great, we also were able to feed them. Afterwards lunch was served and our guide showed us how to make homemade tortillas. He also had some tequila tasting for us. Really enjoyed riding the camel on the white sandy beach.
Really enjoyed ourselves. We chose to go to the marketplace (el mercado) that is away from the beach because the souvenirs are a lot cheaper there than by the pier.
The Splendor was our second cruise. We had a vista balcony and would reccomend for anyone sailing the Splendor. We are definitely hooked on cruise vacations, too ♡♡♡
It's not so bad in an inside cabin. I'm sure you go in rooms all the time that you can't see outside from. And once you close your eyes at night, nobody can see the outside anyway.
We did this same cruise last April. Enjoyed all ports also. It was our second time on the Splendor. Took her previously went to Aruba and Curacao. We love yo cruise.
Same for us so I gave in a booked a four day cruise to Mexico 26 cruises later have been to great places, meet awesome people and have amazing memories.. happy cruising we just got back for a 24 night cruise and have three long booked it's addiction for sure but a nice addition... we have just retired early so no stopping us now .. enjoy so many places to go !!!!
